SBA, as several have already mentioned you were not singled out at all. The fact is Avery did make a mistake when he allowed you access to the Vets section. I don't think anyone (afaik) had an issue with it. However it's obvious that Avery made another mistake (with Norby) was most likely reminded and had to "fix" your access to be fair.

I'd be disappointed too, so I feel for you. As you already know other then the daily giveaways of ultra rare wavelength diodes and the weekly giveaway of a projector full of 445 diodes, not much really goes on it there. Well unless you are into all the wife / girlfriend pr0n we openly trade there. :eg:

And don't let Mark (TJ) get under your skin. He is gruff and likes to stir up reactions from the uninitiated but has a good heart (Although he would never admit it!) and is still someone that I would consider a friend. It's funny to watch the different reactions from newer users and ones that have been around for awhile.

I know exactly why my status was revoked. I made mention of this half a dozen times in this thread. No, I do not take it personally. I was just sharing my feelings. It won't happen again.

Dude, making accounts after you've been banned is a bannable offense. Sorry but as soon as anybody with "Ban user" button sees this, you're gone.

I mean WHO CARES... Live along and stop complainin about it. I got thrown out and didn't open a thread to complain or to have a pat in the back and getting a "I am sorry" from some other user....

Be a man and deal with it.... if the Vet status was "SOOO" importat to someone than bend in your knees and ask for mercy to a moderator to let you in...

I personally couldn't care less... I care about the other 99.99% of this forum that is not in the vet section. I care about the hundreds of users that take advantage of all the usefull information that there is in this forum.

I care about the great vets, and non vets, that help out.... that is what's important.... but 5 pages of discussion because of some rule that was applied "correctly" by the forum owner in getting us out of the vet section seems just dumb.

I will keep posting in this forum, and gathering information out of it because I want to, not to achieve the 1000 posts or because I want to become a vet or not.

One thing I learnt from being a forum member on many other sites, is that the post count doesn't make you a better or a worse user.

If moderators really want to do something special in this forum than they should do what in many others has been already done. Ask for a membership fee and give special priviledges to the users that pay that fee (they get more support money and paying users get something more out of the forum).

For example there is a metal detecting forum called treasurenet, only if you are a paying member you can post in the B/S/T section, and there is also an exclusive sub section open to paying members.

Most often users that stick to the hobby pay for the priviledges, and the ones that are just in this for a few months or weeks just pass on....

Anyway my point ..... who cares... live along and have fun with lasers....

I have nothing to "think" about regarding you - you seek attention because you believe that's how you get your fun on the internet.

I am providing you with this momentary attention before you get banned for breaking the forum rules.

You've experienced no unfortunate event. You've broken the rules, you're beaking them again, you are getting banned. You are bitching about it because you love watching what people reply to you on the internet. So do I That's why I'm giving you this attention.

I am a member far longer than you, have not been banned yet and am not trying to seek attention if I get wronged. I do not put "NO U ARE" in my signature, and I do not break the rules to tell everybody how I've been "wronged" after breaking the rules.

Does that make me superior than you?

Yes. Yes it does. Not how I choose to speak/type.

Now go be "not inferior" and call people fools for their (relative) success on Facebook.

Apologies to everybody for writing what I wrote - just pushing people's buttons a little to see how they react. Sorry about that. I'm not gonna go and delete my posts like I have anything to hide.

@Laserphase (I know you'll read this anyway), apologies as well. Wanted to see how you'd react to what I was typing. You're reasonably smart, intelligent, but young, you let the emotional side show here and there. So basically all I typed was an act, nothing I wrote was personal. An advice: When people pretend like they are superior to you, let them, don't attempt to prove them wrong. You attempted to prove the moderators wrong in their decision to enforce rules, and you attempted to argue with this fictional character I made up, because he says he's "superior".

You're smart enough to forsee it. Instead of trying to defend yourself, just look up rules up front and check to see that what you're doing (creating two parallel accounts) isn't againt them.

you did nothing wrong lol, i've just recently been receiving complaints that why is member X in vets but didn't have 1 year membership. it was my fault i gave the membership on error w/out noticing the dates Lol.


before u know it will be one year.
