Sharp 490nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

Re: Sharp 495nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

I hope nano drivers.

Re: Sharp 495nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

if we consider that the datasheet is right im expecting those to have a slightly lower wavelengh than the previous lot,of course we waiting to see what diodes we will get from the group buy that styropyro started.
if those prove to be lower in wavelengh this gonna be awesome for all of us hobbyists as we will have a more complete spectrum of direct diodes

Re: Sharp 495nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

That is unusual as these diodes never got below 492nm in all the many I measured from the last batch. I have quite a few headed my way and will be binning these by wavelength again.

Re: Sharp 495nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

Hi Paul, do you know if the diodes you purchased are from the GHO4955A2G production, or the GHO4850B2G like DTRs?

They are all the same diode. I saw the data sheet that states these are between 487nm and 495nm. Of all the diodes I measured from the last batch, none were under 492nm. I will be measuring these as well. We shall see.

They are pretty.

They'll look even better when they're listed for sale on your website :D

Re: Sharp 495nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

Yeah, they do look good. I can't wait to measure a couple dozen for wavelength. It would be astonishing if I found one that is 488nm. I bought them assuming they are between 492nm and 495nm.

oh my god thats a lot of diodes!!!! cant wait until theyre listed on your site!

Re: Sharp 495nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

Was trying to find some info on how their product codes, bining leves and life time test ratings per lot were coded in and came across this. Did not have time to read it all but it does seem to give they way to decode the part number, packing codes and such. Might be a good read to get familiar with their datasheets.

Here is the full one I have that i pulled some ino out of in the OP.

Re: Sharp 495nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

According to the datasheet this batch is 480nm-495nm (from max to min) typ.485nm. I guess the serial tells the same GH04850B2G
Which are 48(x)nm ones. Already crossed my fingers, excited! I’ll take two if they are less than 490nm. :eg:

Thanks Jordan, a lot of information to be had from those data sheets. :yh:

Re: Sharp 495nm GH04850B2G 55mW Laser Diode

Very nice Jordan!

I would like some 480,s please!
Anything higher is not for me.
