I've made a few tweeks to the show schedule and updated my post above.

I'll be passing by the Charlotte airport around 9:30 Thursday morning if anyone needs a ride...

930, or 2130? (am/pm :p)

Right...nothing to do here.

EDIT: Did that just happen? ..

Will I be the youngest guy there? (19)

I doubt it, if I had to guess, most folks are probably in their 30's. It does range from 18 all the way up to Hak.

Don't forget Dave

I don't mind if I am. I don't think my maturity will be questioned just based on my age, I have a bleak past, but I'm a different youngin now.

I'm curious on how this will go, I've never been around a fellow laserholic. Closest I've come is to a Captain who worked on lasers once.

How do these normally go? I'm not asking schedule, I'm talking social dynamics.

Can't wait!

Is the BST all cash? Will there be an ATM or should I travel with a lot of bills?

I live in Charlotte, also would be happy to give someone a ride on Friday morning when we head up.

Will anybody have a spectrometer there? I'd like to measure some of my DD pointers. Somebody had one last year but forgot the S/W if I remember correctly.

Mariomaster had one last year, but like you said, he forgot the software. It was a Science Surplus version that he personally calibrated, but he said it was accurate. So he would be the first person I would check with if I were you.

Curious about the B/S/T section. For those flying in, must we leave with the items, or can they be shipped to our homes? I personally don't trust baggage loaders.

My last hurdle to overcome is roommates. Anyone have room for a quiet laserist? I don't mind sleeping on the floor, not my first, certainly won't be my last :). I believe in making due and "adventuring" while on travels. Always willing to settle and meet in the middle. So if you have 2, and the 3rd gets the love seat or floor, I'm all over it!

PM me if you have vacancies available :)

FYI it is confirmed that I am attending. All things purchased :)

Also, I spoke to a couple people, and I've sensed interest in some 515nm or 520nm pens. Simple little chrome pens. I can do gold, but they aren't mirrored..

Anyway, I can probably make em for $180-200 if anyone is interested, they'll be placed around the BST :)

There is always cool stuff in the BST room. For the most part Selem isnt a pointer crowd but people do bring pointers. Djmatt brought a 700mW green pointer last year but it was only doing around 400. I myself brought a few of my personal pointers amd ao did Hak. He also had a few for sale. Good chance to save on shipping on any Jetl product! ;)

I recommend bring a wad of cash for the BST section. There are ATM machines nearby but you gotta find them and they do usually have fees. The ATM might be a better xhoice for those who might not wanna carry a few hundred on them.

Not sure about shipping luggage out since I never had to do so and this will only be my second LEM but I would think if you aaked around. There might be some who may stay till monday and "might" drop a package off for you. I just wouldnt rely on it. Id think it would be costly anyway?

edit: Me and mariomaster will be bringing Cryogenic Coolers to selem. So if anyone wants to bring LEDS or something to wavelength shift for fun or anything else they want to see frozen at -300°+.
