I'm too new here to warrant a perspective on this.

However, as a new visitor to this board, I'll comment that for a short while I was initially sketched out about this forum, simply because of the Dino banner.

I had a negative opinion of Dino (as scammers) before I knew about this forum. When I found this forum, the sponsorship by Dino turned me off. Of course it wasn't fatal to my ultimate impression of LPF, but it was the one thing that initially sketched me.

So I don't think the concern would solely be about newbies that don't know Dino is scammy. Another concern could be that for those who DO, Dino's reputation might impact their first-reaction to LPF.

That may/may not matter. Just my own mileage.

That is just blatant theft there.
To bad there isn't some Better Business Bureau for Chinese companies.

I agree though with 'let them pay'. It supports the forums and with a simple "search" area use anyone could find the companies reputation.

Heh, I've always found the presence of Wicked Lasers ads a greater affront to the reputation of LPF than Dino Direct.
 
the forum depends on ads for revenue. members are free to discuss any company negatively or positively. buyers should always be aware, hence the phrase "buyer beware". b/c we have great freedom of information here, if any user does their homework, they can likely easily find negative/positive reviews to facilitate their buying decisions.

to be 110% fair, all laser companies have had an equal chance to purchase ads... right now i have 2 slots opened, one below the thread quick reply box, and one below the private message quick reply box. i can't do much to control how good/reliable companies are that have ads. naturally, any logical business owner would accept the highest offer. if anyone is interested please contact me... or if anyone knows a company that you think *should* be advertising (lol), please refer me to them, or advise them to contact me.

Let's look at this order ------
I ordered a laser from Dino on 11/26. It shipped on 12/8 and arrived at the sorting center on 12/9. It passed customs on 12/9 and was dispached that day.
Now after about 7 attempts to communicate with them, I get replys indicating that no one there understands... They even think I received the package!!

This is the second email which I sent today:

"Dino ----
This is it. Please have someone reply immediately who understands English.
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PACKAGE. THERE IS NO TRACKING INFO UPDATING. Am I clear on this?? Call me NOW (641-XXX-5495)

Listen to me.... I will wait 5 more days from this moment and put in a PayPal chargeback for failure to deliver or provide options. Also, I will post bad reports about you on the laser forums.
Option 1 -- Reship the product so I get it within 5 days.
Option 2 -- Show me where the package is and guarantee it here in 5 days -- no excusses.
Option 3 -- Send me an email stating that you can not help which I will copy and post on laser forums.

If you reship the product and I eventually get both, I will return the extra laser at my expense. You can call me NOW at 641-XXX-5495. I'm tired of the delay emails I have received from you. Your 24/7 chat is a waste of my time."
