Here are some top picks from a set of photos I took when I went to Glen Coe today - a 200 mile round trip 'cos I had nothing better to do :D

Taken from Inveraray

On the way through, not long past Bridge of Orchy I think:

Not far from Glen Coe village:

Coming through Glen Coe I stopped to take this, as did several other people:

Fuel consumption was impressive. At £1.13 a litre it doesn't take much to fill the small tank, £15 took it from just over half to nearly full, and having finished my journey with just less than full it looks like I got 200 miles out of about £20!

@Blarg King, very nice B/W film imagery, just can't beat that film 'look' that only film can produce.

@R.C, love the violet and orange/yellow hues out of that PBS.

@DashApple, that old VFD clock looks amazing with those mini tubes, thanks for sharing and post more elec tube pics please.

@Trencheel, such beautiful countryside imagery, must be such a fascinating area to explore, thank you for sharing.

Thanks : D , I do have a few pictures . I'm in the process of restoring a larger one with new tubes and have a few bigger ones to restore once I find tubes for it .

A crisp high noon on Christmas Day. That's as high as the sun goes this time of year, and it's the first clear day we've had in a month or two. Merry Christmas!

Beautiful scene Gabe, I'd love to experience a White Christmas just once in my life.
It's boiling here at 34C, ( 93F.).
Merry Christmas mate.

Lol, sometimes I forget it's the opposite season in the southern hemisphere. That's roasting! Just finally getting some snow and cold here, it's about -22°C today. We didn't have a white Christmas, it was a clear day, however Christmas Eve had the most perfect snowfall, and everything was a magenta pink for the whole night by some weird phenomenon caused by the light pollution and the snow, even tho it's usually orange.

Paid for an apartment in Odessa, Ukraine today. Not huge, but 900 square feet is big enough. Hope to live there part of the year when done working in Iraq.

Building was just finished today.

Look ma', I finally got me a tripod! I put it to good use as well, taking this picture:

That picture doesn't look like anything special, but diverges into my other hobby and showcases an extremely rare thing on UK roads - a mercury vapour street light still standing and working, and on a main road. And when I say rare, I mean the same kind as Sta's multiline Spartan 589 rare... mercury vapour is almost unheard of here, and basically IS unheard of on the side of a motorway!

here's another one from the services entrance, mercury vapour in all its off-white glory:
