Wow, what a set of nice looking unique lasers!

Ok, I ever build my lasers with things I already have around, and the result are very interesting, my main material is MDF, but I can use anything to make a laser:

Old ones:

(red closed can at 150mA, LM337 driver)

(LPC-815 at 415mA, LM317 driver with DVD-RW lens, electronically focusable by a trimpot)

And now, my actual lasers:

(PL TB450 @ 1,2A, 1~1,2W)

Hahahaha the mustard build?! Does that come with a side of awesome sauce?
All of these build above are very cool
This first one might not count the laser is a stainless body mounted on the CO2 cannon.

I have yet to meter this. Sometime soon.

Thanks all for what's been posted so far. I look at everything and the links. I would say that I haven't seen at least half of these before as they are from quite awhile ago or just missed them when/if they were posted.

I purchased these thinking I would get 3 cat toys and a whole bunch of image caps that I could use with other lasers only to find they all put out about 8mW with new batteries and the caps were horrible lol

As far as I know hardly anyone has one of these Jayrob kits. It has all of the upgrades that he offers plus the DTR module that he recommends for it.
I did not purchase this myself. A very good friend of mine (Lazerbeak) surprised me with this as a thank you and I was VERY humbled to receive it.
Yes, LZB is around as I've talked with him on the phone several times. He pops in here and there just as some of us have taken a break to regroup and sort life out for a bit. It's an honor to know him as some of you may know yourselves. I call him "Sir Lazerbeak" as I've "knighted" him;)

Yes, I can confirm that the ★caps are
pretty bad. They are plastic and full of
overapplied hot snot. They are okay for
<100mW except when the glue covers them
completely.

I also nominate DTR for Knighthood. :D

Unfortunately mine aren't "pretty bad", they are just awful. Thought I potentially making a good find for a few bucks and the caps ended up looking like someone spray painted the image on them as there are a zillion little dots all around and through the pictures.
What's also really bad was they stick a thin piece of plastic inside where the battery goes to prevent the button cells from shorting but it doesn't protect enough and shorts anyways. All 3 of them were like this. Luckily I realized what was happening and made my own barrier out of paper and they work. Had to throw out a set of LR44 on one of them but had 5 of those in my battery case so it worked out.

16 parallel 2 watt 455nm lasers and 1KW combined R,G,B LED power. Is it a host? Probably not in the sense you meant, too heavy to carry very far and requires over 100 amps at 12 VDC, fed from my truck battery through welding cables.

I'd rather have someone shooting at mean with a pellet gun than that thing.

Are all the beams combined? What lenses are used?
