Just as the title suggests, everyone post your Chinglish fails here!

As if people elsewhere in the world aren't racist against white people. Who cares if they are? Tired of people being so sensitive.

This thread is on the edge of racism. Its the same as making fun of how black people talk.

I don't want to be a jerk or anything but people are getting way to sensitive. People make fun of each other all the time, blacks, whites, orientals, ect.

All it is, is lighthearted, poking fun at each other.

It's amusing, because this comment is pointing out racism, yet it is prejudiced.

White people can talk ghetto and use ebonics too, it's not just limited to blacks. It's just more common among black people than it is white people.

That being said, saying "axe" instead of "ask", "tolt" instead of "told", "pacifically" instead of "specifically", etc., isn't just another form of speech, it's lazy, ignorant, and often comes across as rude (such as when you are working customer service and speaking to a customer like that).

Anyways, I feel that "English translation fails" would be more appropriate for a name.

Get over yourself guys. Chingrish is the result of a poor translator, be it a program, or a person. Nothing racist about it. The point of this thread is to show funny examples of this translation fail. Not to go "Ha, [author] cant speak english, what a loser!".

I'm just going to go ahead and actually post something relevant....

I may have the most ' far from accurate' one to post here- I hate to make fun but as has been said we see lots of these because some rely on 'babblefish' to tranlate. and those we deal with may have has NO say in the matter-- regardless I think its money well-spent to pay someone from the USA to edit all info BEFORE putting it into an owner's manual or in a listing description.. brb with a doozie!!

look at # 2 (that's not a f*ckin hashtag :) )

This racism thing here is BS.
We deal with technology and read specs on printed
forms to decide what to buy and how to use it.
I often pass on a product if I can't read the spec
sheet.
Sometimes, I think, sellers use the language barrier
to their advantage. Is that racist?
HMike
There is only one race - called the human race. I've met
black people who speak the language very well and I've tried
to talk to white people -- "well, like, you know, uh, I never
thought about that, you know but I asked a friend and he went like you know ----
Stop playing the race card --- There are many dialects alone here in the USA.
There you have it -- you know --------
By the way -- Is "you know" a statement of fact or a question?

Pretty sure "axe" in place of "ask" is a Louisiana thing more than anything else. I worked on lots of oil rigs with white crews from Louisiana, and TONS of them said "axe" rather than "ask".

I've seen a warning posted on top of an HID flashlight that said the following:

"After long time lightening, don't torch the glass in order to avoiding hurt by high temperatures"

I think it's still used on the top of all of those 75-85W HIDs on ebay

Please read aloud --+

and cold- read it at a regular pace and i bet you cannot read aloud to the end and get every word as it appears- this was quite hard to even type--

" Laser aggregate light have the is possible to in out of to
deviate from the status quo the adjust the on the, you can through
the aggregate the adjusting frame by the light three-dimensional
carried out."

TOLD YOU!!
its damn hard to read even very slowly!!

As below:"

^^ that hurts my brain just to attempt to read it. Forget figuring
out what some of it means--
It is not' Babblefish' its BABBLE BABBLE--because of how its written it
was also very hard to type out (I could not copy/paste it) typing
'jibberish' is harder than it looks.

I suggested they just 86 ALL that and use. " To adjust each laser alignment see below"
coz that it what is meant.

I am thinking no other language has more names for stuff and has more meaning for some words- that is why most poetry is in English.iirc
example- translation for spring is often 'bounce' so be sure to out the + end of your battery on the bounce.-

I saw anticlockwise instead of counterclockwise- too.
