Nah it's real, from a laser projector. If I can find the thread again I'll post.

Re: Post your BURNING MARKS [picture thread]

Can I post videos? I've got some nice videos of all kinds of things burning. .. also one very cool effect created by reflecting my laser off a surface and as it melts it kicks out some amazingly cool looking effects. Wish I could post them..

Re: Post your accidentally BURNING MARKS [picture thread]

^ was it a cd you did that with? A 445 melting a cd projects reflections that look like flowing water or explosions, way cool.

not videos all over the forums just the URL to videos and I dont have web space to upload th em. A more accurate question would be can I add vids to my album but don't worry il figure it out. And I used a cheap pair of sunglasses with mirror finish. Same effect as The CD case but more intense.

I was using this as a lens cap on the PL TB450B.

Most of these were done with an SCC and later an SOC before their untimely demise.

Some of you may know what this means.

There was nothing accidental about this.
All done with the first PL TB450B

Nin? Nine inch nails?

I have endless burn marks in my soldering table, non from the iron lol I'll have to snap a picture of my table and test boxes. Hundreds of burns in just one of the box flaps.

I've been wanting to do a drawing.

In a big wooden wire spool, I burned hot rod style flames into the entire surface.
Something like that would be fun to do with my super maglite. :eg:

This is what happens when you're a noob with eye protection,
and you forget you CAN'T SEE THE BEAM WITH EYE PROTECTION!!!

Doh!

Ouch. Looks like you kept burning long after the sting set in. Are there deeper issues here involved? Lol

Re: Post your accidentally BURNING MARKS [picture thread]

Oh believe me. I jerked my hand back as soon as I felt the burn.
There are actually two burns on my hand. One healed well, the other not so much.

Doesn't take long for a 2W laser to bite.
