I was just going to get a cheap 3A Mastech for less than $50 plus shipping. But, I found an Atten 5A for $78 w/ free shipping. After seeing how well it's build compared to the Mastech, it was an easy choice.

I can't wait to start using this thing! Now, if I just had an LPM...

Jordan, that thing is SICK! I'm not familiar with the host though..I like it! Who made the heat sink for you? How are you focusing it?

No heatsink. I had to machine a module down in diameter and the host is the sink they are only useful for lower power builds. Here are some I did previously. They really are very small hosts.

I'm just getting back into lasers after a bit of a hiatus. I'm so happy to see these 520nm diodes are easily obtained now! I tried for a long time to get one of these from laser66 but they would never sell me one.

This thread had some good options with long run times, but I don't mind sacrificing battery life in exchange for small size. Right now I'm planning on running one of these with a microboost in a LeadLight host. My first green laser was a LeadLight so I figure my first diode green laser should be the same.

Very nice! LeadLight is a pen style right? And I totally agree with you about size being more important!

Yeah it's a pen style host. It looks much better than the typical DX/NewWish pen host IMO. I used to see the empty hosts sold on eBay but there aren't any there anymore, I hope they are still sold somewhere. I guess I'll have to search around a bit.

Maybe THESE? Jayrob sells them and they are the only non Newwish styles I have seen. If those aren't it, link me a picture of what they look like and I will search around.
