The top photo was from a 50D DSLR, and the bottom was from a 6MP Digital Rebel 300D DSLR, modified to replace the IR-cut filter with an IR-pass/Visible-cut filter (modified to shoot IR).

Wow, the 50D is one nice camera. I wish I could afford something like that. Great pictures on your website too btw

I haven't put the photoset this one is from up yet - but this is my current favorite. From Iceland. It's titled "Metropolis". I have a 4x3 foot giclee of it in my living room :)

Very, very nice shot - love the straight-forward composition and the post-processing you've done

:kewlpics:

In honor of the Japanese people and their current predicament, their culture and my Springtime trip to Japan ... that had to be cancelled... :cryyy:

Nice pictures traveller, nice message as well :)

What kind of lighting setup do you use? Is it all natural lighting?

This one is for japan (no offense intended):

And finally, this one because it's rendered quick and rigged quickly on my pc and is an sega copyrighted model (hehe):

Thx / currently I use non-dedicated light sources but I'm very careful with setting the white balance.

I'm really keen on getting some pro-lighting for small product & macro photography but I'm still researching & learning in this area ;)

I'll admit that I'm a little embarrassed to show anything in here since Traveller's presence makes me feel like a real amateur but here is some stuff I've taken since I've purchased a Canon 60D, my first DSLR.

This summer I'm taking a break from life... I plan on getting a new lens or two (probably the EF 50mm f/1.4 or the 85mm f/1.8 or both) and going on some hikes to work on my photography.

Thanks.
The bird is a Superb Starling. It's indigenous to Africa but I saw this one at the San Diego Zoo.

The reason why I asked was because its identical to the a bird my GFs mom seen in her yard. It caught her eye because there is no other bird that looks like it in our area. We were thinking that it might be someones pet that got loose.

Took this as apart of my art course, was looking at pieces by Arthur Rackham and Davinci and there style of portraiture, I thought this statue had some resemblance to that style

my attempt at trying to recreate a lomographic style photograph

I don't get to take many pictures (hence the lack of ability), but I recently became interested in the lomographic camera style/effect I think they have a really cool look to them, does anyone have any experience with a lomo camera? Id love to get some advice :)
