No. The T6 die is good for 3A as far as I know. I was using a bench power supply which emulates a battery with zero internal resistance, and it didn't get to 3A until 4.5V. The various voltage drops in different parts limit the current. The problem here is it will always be dimmer than it could be, and it keeps getting dimmer the longer you use it. I powered the driver directly instead of through the casing, and it was 3A at 4V.
There's no current sense resistor at all on the driver board. It's garbage as far as I'm concerned.
