did anyone see that yellow HeNe 2mW that went for ~$152- No PS- and of course there is no telling high much higher one would need to out bid the winner-
he got a steal IMO.
hope he is a friend..

That tube has gone through several owners and it wasn't all that stable. The info came from SG, himself, IIRC. Yellow, is yellow, though. I would've bid on it if it were a mounted tube.

it did have a bin price - bid is STILL real low. if only that guy waited one week to list - my income tax return hits friday..........

thanks, believe me if i had the cash i'd have been in there. you're gonna have to find the pin out of the remote so you can run it at max to get more lines. it looked like 476, 488 and 514 were being lased in the pic. hard to tell tho....

Follow up to my spectrometer post, I finally found one that met the requirements and bought it Visible spectrum, .5nm resolution.

This seller has been listing a few of those science surplus ones (IIRC?) over the past month for anyone else interested, usually with a starting bid of 100$ and they go for 600-900$

In the meantime, the seller that ARG linked to has a nice little whitelight for sale. Isn't that a nice novelty? Its got Ar and Kr loaded in the tube!

that white light has been out there for a while now. he did have it up for auction/no reserve around a month ago but pulled it out before the end.

He wants $$$$ for it. He turned down my offer of $800, which I thought was high for 60mW all lines.

It's old, too. circa 1980, IIRC.

Its probably a soft seal tube that originally did ~80mw. I think the 110VAC input is a nice selling point though. Its just a fact that you will see only a few mixed gas tubes paired with a 110V supply... even if the tube is air cooled.
