Hopefully I will have my Spectro accurately calibrated next week and can check it. I have been rather slack and not callibrated it better. It's only been calibrated with Diodes at the expected wavelength.

They weren't moving that fast as the seller wanted, a few days ago he emailed me asking if I was still interested, after asking a question the prior week.

I might try for one once they come up again. It would certainly be a unique wavelength to have. I don't want to start asking about them now as this guy will likely raise the price on them.

He does have some good stuff at times. About 6 months ago he had some 2 Watt 532's for very reasonable price. I hesitated to long and missed out. Have not seen any since.

Alright let's not ask him anything about the next batch of 565nm, be sleek and discrete so he won't get excited and raise the price. :eg:

Do you know what the actual output at 532nm is for this laser, diachi? I see it states a max of 6 watts, but that is likely on many models and is no where near what this one will do.

Going by the label on top that reads I3W (Diode current @ 3W) I'd guess it's rated for 3W, maybe more.

Edit: Other listings for that model have it rated at 3W too, so that seems like a safe bet.

:thanks: I am going to watch this for now. It has nearly a week left to the auction and don't want to start bidding on it now. Will also need a driver and power source for it.

Agreed, I have one and that's what I believe, I'm guessing it can be pushed harder though.

Agreed, those sorts of lasers usually run everything a decent amount under spec to ensure reliability and maintain the specified performance throughout the life of the laser. I.e., they might run the pump diode 25% below max current from the factory, that way the current can be turned up as the diode ages and the output power drops for any given current.

I want it, but have been looking on Aliexpress for one in a laser pointer form factor for 500 dollars. I wonder what these are used for at that power, that's a lot of 532 nm green glory.
