That's a very promising lead. 1W in, 50mW out for a laboratory is reasonable enough to me to see 20-30mW out given ??? in. Plus from what I can see from other articles, Nd:SFAP is fairly efficient at low powers.

I've added this into the theoretical chart. I wonder if there's a 472.5 floating around with one of these crystals

This has 2 strong lines:
945nm
1328nm

and 2 weak lines:
1059nm
1129nm


by weak... I mean very weak:

With a peak absorption around ~806nm with a very small linewidth. Given the heads these are in, I doubt these will do any better than what they're doing now.

It is looking promising that this is how 565’s are constructed. I can’t find much else on that dpss wavelength anyway. Thanks also for your post Zraffleticket. I would be interested in seeing any sfg wavelengths from nd:sfap.

Well I'm starting to get a little concerned now about the 565... Shipping was $50 for 1-5 day "international express" and it's still stuck at "shipping info received" and not in transit... it's been 5 days since purchase now.

Isn't it coming from Australia? Check Australian Post. I have had issues with tracking from other countries and checking it from their end usually does the trick. Now, if it still shows not received, then you DO have a problem.

Probably Nd:YAG. Would love to get my hands on something like that. Assuming it all works you could get a good few watts of green with a YAG+Diodes like that.

Mine showed shipping info received for a couple of days but its showing in transit now. Estimated delivery is tomorrow.

As said above I would check with Australia Post Tracking. The Info shown on ebay can be quite slow updating.

Mine is within Australia though. 1-5 Days to the U.S. does sound optimistic.

Likewise, I've wanted one of those for ages.

In case people aren't aware, that unit is 355nm, although can be converted to do 355/532/1064.

Edit: Doesn't ship to Canada anyway...

Still shows as "shipping info received", however it has been delivered now. At my parents address. Crap, my dad used my ebay and changed the default address. I'll fire it up this weekend when I can make it down there

Wow that wavelength is awesome! But yeah it only ships to Germany.

It went for $239.00 plus shipping. Outside my comfort zone this month. I could have sworn I saw a shipping price listed when I looked at the active listing. I only get those when it will ship to me.

That much for a not working laser is a lot.

Diachi got a not working laser for ~$100 that needed just to be connected to a power source to work. Just because these are sold "as is" doesn't mean they don't work. Many of these sellers don't know anything about the lasers they are selling.
