PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Looks like it could be a tunable laser at first, but then I see 670nm on the right side of the tag....could be a misleading generic sticker that's really 670nm....I would ask the seller.

Here's some details about that model, looks like a diode laser that's often fiber coupled.

Here's the tag from the pics

Oh nice catch, I did not notice it.

""375nm and 405nm are key wavelengths in many bio-instrumentation applications..."" Would be awesome if it was actually 375nm.

It would be nice, although I'm sure it's 670nm, but you can always contact the seller and ask.

Changed my mind and decided to continue bidding on that 473 nm diode, but got it for 25 dollars less than my high bid :)

Congrats Alaskan

makes it two now in your collection after receiving evans965 473nm Laser! A great price for such a rare diode, and a great profit for lazerman121 :D
Im curiouse how many of these diodes lazerman121 has at his disposal

I'm curious as well. I need one to replace the dead diode I bought from BillyBob. :(

I'm going to be both happy and disappointed at the same time if these diodes start being available again someday soon.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I completely understand. Part of allure is the rarity. But to be able to add that wavelength to my collection would make me very happy.

Unfortunately you know that could be a high possibility. Either more could appear or a whole new variety could be introduced.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Hoping so :)

I pray to see 589 diodes someday.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Congrats on your new acquisition, Chris. I'm curious about you getting it for $25.00 less than your max bid. Was that what you put into the system as the maximum you were willing to spend to get it? What was the final bid?

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

That'l work for me too.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I'm hoping for diodes covering the 570-590nm spectrum as a whole. :D
Think about it. 480-510nm was absent for so long and now we can pretty much cover that whole band with various diodes.
I think we have exciting times to come ahead.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

That 577nm laser is on the top of my wish list. It maybe quite awhile before we see direct diodes that cover all the yellows from green to orange, though. I'm ready and waiting for the next Sharp release no matter what wavelengths they cover. Got to love Sharp for releasing so many new wavelengths in such a short period of time.
