PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Congrats on your new acquisition, Chris. I'm curious about you getting it for $25.00 less than your max bid. Was that what you put into the system as the maximum you were willing to spend to get it? What was the final bid?

Ha, I missed this post, just found it. You can bid as high as you want, but unless someone bids more, it won't go higher, of course. A member here did bid against me :p but only after I said I wasn't interested anymore, then changed my mind... Oops.

 Oops, indeed.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

We were discussing that in earlier posts. If it didn't cost so much to ship it, I could get interested in the one he has for $171.05. Someone in Australia should snag one.

I only found this Ebay listing tonight. I did a search of 565nm on here and found this thread. The price has dropped to $155 AUD now.

Obviously it's not yellow. Lime green is what I would call it. It is still a rare wavelength though.

I have bought from him before and found him honest although he does bump up the output power sometimes. Some of his ratings are diode power and not the true optical output power.

I just purchased it. Free delivery for me. Should have it in less than 7 days.

When it arrives I will post some beam shots.

Hopefully more of these become available...

Nice acquisition, Mosc007. I was hoping someone in Australia would get one of these. I hope it works right out of the box. I think you may find there is a lot less green in this than you think.

I grabbed the other one that was available. It kept bugging me.

I have my doubts it's 565nm, though I wouldn't be unhappy to get a 561 or 556 at that price. ETA 1 week. We shall see

Seems there is a lot of variation in what 565nm looks like. Here is one from the site I use the most.

It's not Green but it's also not Yellow. Is nice though.

Yes, looks right in the middle between green and yellow to me on my Macbook.

Almost tennis ball colour.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I would like to get one of the next batch this seller gets, but fear with all the people clamoring to get one, the price will not only be higher, but maybe considerably so.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

It would be good if you could get hold of one, simply for a spectro test. 565nm DPSS isn't common, yet these lasers are cheap considering.

I would love to measure the wavelength on one of these units. I'm hoping Mosc007 or someone else will send one to me for that purpose. I would want to know exactly what their wavelength is before pulling the trigger on one of these for myself. Especially, considering the shipping cost as well as the item now that so many are interested in them.

I'll buy one and measure it if they're ever on sale for that cheap again.
