Pen style blu-ray tutorial

Mitch took my trashed WL CLASSIC CASING & modded it just like his tutorial, & it worked great. His craftsmanship is excellent & his turnaround time quick ;) One improvement I could see him making though, & MITCH, I meant to PM you about this but I spaced out on it & forgot. The small pcs. of Aluminum foil that you used to make good electrical contact between the Aixiz Module & the host body could be replaced by sticky backed copper foil. You can get it from DX in several different mm widths. It comes on a roll like scotch-tape. Just peel off how much you need & wrap it around, or stick it on the module wherever you need it. Since it has a sticky back, it stays in place while re-assembling the laser ;) Also since it's made of all copper, it conducts electricity or a ground very well, & does double duty as a mini-heat-sink of sorts too. Thanks for the fine job that you did on it, & that assembly has since gone on to do duty in another laser I'm working on. GREAT JOB,MOD, & TUTORIAL ;) phoenix77/rob 8-)
 
Hi! Nice tut! I just got a little confused. Wouldn't it be simpler to just connect the case pin to the + pin on the 803T and not have to solder the + wire to the case pin on the driver? That would be a lot simpler. Also, how do you know where the input and output on the switch are. Sorry, i have never worked with pen hosts >.<

The input and output of the switch don't matter because there's just 2 two pins, one on each side, and isn't polarized. I don't know about flex, but with rkcstr you CANNOT solder the case pin to the +, it will die instantly (trust me, i know lol) however you can solder it to the - (go figure :-/ ).

Oh... i guess the Rckstr is case negative. That is odd...
I don't get it though, because it stil would be the same connection. What if i just solder the case pin and the - pin together on the 803T, and then i just leave the - terminal on the Rckstr driver untouched. Then i would just put the batteries in the positive side :D
