You should try making salute shells:) i love those, shouldnt be too hard just put the fuse on the top part of one of those explosives you have put in a mortar with some bp lift :) happy booming! :)

For educational purposes only, of course...I don't recommend you doing this. A huge beautiful fireball may occur.

Theoretically speaking, a person could mix gasoline and styrofoam (poor man's napalm), mix in some sawdust for texture...place a boomstick in a soda can and surround it with the mixture. (Two soda cans with the tops removed and inserted into eachother works as well)

attaching a magnet can make for some interesting applications as well.
 
The clothes idea is pretty cool! You can wear them when you come back and say that you made the fuse too short lol ;D
 
How about some marbles and some jumping jacks :P and of course stainless steel ballbearings from a city bus. LOL!!!!!!
 
Oh, be sure to point your blurays and greenies at the fireworks when the explosion goes off :)
