New Rayfoss Laser... Broken?

I never heard back from Rayfoss....

Why are these people so hard to get in contact with?
 





Heh, well this is wonderful. I have to threaten them with a paypal dispute to get a tracking number, wait longer than promised to get my laser, end up getting a broken one, can't get a response about getting a refund, and their site is down.

4 emails and over 3 weeks later. No response from Rayfoss. I don't know what to do at this point.
 
That sucks. Try to do a dispute ASAP. Thank you for posting this, I was thinking about ordering from rayfoss, but seems like they are getting a lot of bad rep lately.

I know chances are low.. but if your paypal account is set to draw from an Amex card... they are really good about this kind of stuff.

I have had nothing but good experiences with them, and find it hard to believe they would be ignoring people
 
just so you guys know...i'm in the process of buying a 200mw from rayfoss, and they've followed up with every single one of my emails. i captured our latest conversation as proof.


also...does anyone know what she means by "Please advise your paypal address then we will send the paypal invoice to." ??? i just finished confirming my bank account on paypal, and im all set to use it to purchase my laser from rayfoss, but i dont know how the purchasing process works. please let me know how. thanks!

It's nice that they're responding to your emails. All 6 of mine have been completely ignored. At this point I highly doubt I'll be getting any of my money back.

I haven't dealt with rayfoss yet, and your experience has me thinking I might not at all.

Thank you for posting and letting us know. Might want to mention that you're on LPF, and this is not doing their reputation any good.

What Faona means is that you can tell her (via email) your paypal address (the email you registered your paypal with) and she will send you an invoice (bill) for your laser, then she ships the laser to the physical address you have on your paypal account.

Are you sure you are using the correct email addres for Faona (email contact person with rayfoss)? Also, I heard she was having family issues lately, so be patient. link

Faona is usually very promt in her replies and is always accomodating.
I'm sure if you were polite enough, you would get your laser/refund/etc.

guys thanks a lot for helping me out. faona gave me the invoice, i paid with payapl, and im all set. shes just waiting for the money now. it's gonna take a while for the laser to come to me.. i should get it by may 5. the laser i got was the 200mw FBT. it's the 50$ one that comes in black or dark purple waterproof torch housing. im pretty exited. this isn't my first 200mw laser, as i made a DIY 200mw following kipkay on youtube. i'll probably post a bunch of photos once i get it, and tell you guys about it.

I actually knew about rayfoss last year when i first got into lasers, but was afraid to buy from her because the site looked super sketchy. and i've read on forums about faona. she's always great with customer service. There is another really long conversation in LPF, between one of the older members here and Faona. it's been a while since i read that post so im not sure if that post has been deleted or not, but it shows that she will talk you through your questions and concerns. i dont mean to assume, but it could be possible you said something that could have made her ignore you, cjrhoades.
