New B/S/T section?

Hey Everyone,

Recently I'm seeing an increasing number of non-laser related things in the B/S/T.

Just take a look at the top 5 threads in the B/S/T right now:

3/5 of them are not laser related.

The B/S/T is the largest section of the forum with over 130k posts, and it would be nice to keep it clean.

What I suggest is adding a second B/S/T, in the off-topic section for everything non-laser related, with the same rules as the current B/S/T (with the minimum post rule)

Agree? Disagree? Vote above!
Other ideas? Discuss!

Sounds like a good idea. I'd be for it. Add it to the Off Topic area while enforcing the same rules as the main B/S/T section.

I think it should be a split subforum, one with just lasers and one with everything else not sure on the specifics of how that would work, but at least it would still let the forum members easily know what's up for B/S/T at the moment

dude thats exactly what the OP is saying :thinking:

one B/S/T in the laser section and one B/S/T in the off topic section for non-laser items= split B/S/T sections

well if thats the answer then non-laser related items should NOT be for sale here but i myself dont mind them, they just need there own section

Buy, sell, and trade lasers and/or laser pointers. Minimum 20 laser related posts required before thread creation.

well i got a nice laser for a DS that was never gonna sell on ebay, plus there are so many fees, and the seller actually matters here, unlike ebay

What I mean is... under "Buy, Sell, and Trade" there are two paths... one for specifically laser-related BST, and one for non-laser-related BST. But both are still under the BST section of the Forum

I was saying non-laser related stuff goes on ebay.

Although the option of another section/subthread is better.

that would be a sub-sub-section then. B/S/T would be the sub-section and then laser related would be one sub-sub-section and non-laser stuff would be another sub-sub-section. im not sure if this is an options on the current server but cant speak on that since i dont know.

plus IMO it needs to be two separate places. we dont have the general section and then under it two sub sections; laser related and other. we have the other section for a reason, if you dont want to see non-laser stuff you never will but if you do, then its there. this is a laser community first and foremost so no need to make this a general community. however i know laser people do like things other than laser so hence the smaller other sections
