HI:
I am new to lasers but not new to electronics or mechanics.
(I build robots for fun.)
I intend to build a portable laser that can take out a mouse from a minimum of 1 meter distance.
I think that 10+ watts of output should do the trick.
I am thinking that 3 or 4 9mm 445nm diodes in an array should do it.
JLSE seems to have mastered this concept and I am HIGHLY impressed by his work.
So am I on the right track?
Can this be accomplished by using other diode/laser types, perhaps without an array?
What optics will I need?
Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. I am fine with regards to laser safety.
