Name this Kit Contest

Sorry Bob,

Good sized list too. I lost track when compiling. That is the reason I post it all so you can keep me in check. There's a bunch of names here....Thanks for letting me know. They are on the list for tomorrow.

Thanks,

Ryan

I have one more Ryan.

C7C DIY kit. Yes its an acronym of Custom 7 Color Diy Kit. Your own name that is relevant to your actual build.

No Prob Bob. I didnt want SightFX to miss it.

Just seen your latest /almost ready build. Very cool I like you have layed out EVERYTHING very well, very clean looking, nice design with the tri-shaped colored plexi and arranging the batt's in a tri-shape arrangement, Kudos guy for sure +1, love that engine look you captured with the heatsinks, reminds me of a part of one of the old radial aircraft engines from WWII say could we make one that looked just like an aircraft engine with 8 or 12 cylinders each with it's own diode, what a scanner that would make, I think we should try this  Have fine day ! Pyro... :eg:

Thanks Pyro!

I have some Lipo batteries on the way that should fit perfect in the next one.

Great idea about the 8-12 cylinder engines. Scanner could use some sort of pyramid of mirrors angled so that the beams all exit true to one another in a tight circle. The whole thing would be about the diameter of a dinner plate and look awesome. Cost well hmmm. May be a while :D

Thanks,

Ryan

Tch-tch ..... you guys don't know old stellar engines, right ? :eg:

They never have "equal" number of cylinders (8, 10, 12), always "uneven" (7, 9, 11) ..... :D :na:

(no offense, ok ? :D)

Edit: no, i'm wrong, this time ..... also if the non-matched configuration was the more common, just discovered that the "Ciclone" model had 14 cylinders ..... apologise for the mistake :)

hands off the 7FX and FX7 niko! Beat you to it :)

It's hard to know which names have already been taken though, there's a lot of posts to read through. So no problem brother!

The FX7 is MINE :D

You can have the 7FX, though :p

Hahahaha :whistle::san:

If it got named Chuck Norris we would have so much fun :p

The laser itself could boast a picture of Chuck pointing to the laser's window.

"Chuck Norris doesn't care about divergence, he always gets 0,0000001mRad"

How about the "SCUBA" kit

"Seven Colour Unit, Beam Alignment" Kit

Hope I didn't miss the deadline... I'm hoping you're working on US time!!!

M

OK so we have our last accepted post at #185. Thank you all for providing such awsome names. This is going to be tough. I will post one last list of keepers and cuts.

My wife and kits will then go through the keepers as soon as we can and rank them 1-20. We should be through with that by this evening and have a winner by no later than 10PM MST. It may seem like a long time but with the schedules of 3 kids living in different countries it's how long it's going to take today :D.

Thanks again and stay tuned,

SightFX

We have a winner!!

Go to the top Thread and see who won!

Thanks you all for playing. We will have something for the funniest entery too. They made this a bunch more fun for us.

Thank you all,

SightFX

Couldn't have been a more deserving winner :)
Obviously I would have liked to win, but just participating was good fun too.
Congratulations on the prize Dave, and congratulations on the name sightFX!
