MythBusters..... What went wrong ???

You never know with those guys.. seems that "cannonball" took a pretty long trip. I don't think it was made of normal cannonball materials.

Hmm... I was wondering what show to download next:pop:

Edit:

Myth - Cannon balls are not dangerous.

Experiment - Shoot cannon ball in a random direction.

Hypothesis - Nothing will happen.

Result - Bit of property damage.

Conclusion - Cannons and Cannon balls are F*cking dangerous:crackup:

Trajectory failz!

Methinks that someone is in need of a new calculator

Peace,

Unfortunately it will now take longer for them to air this episode...

I bet their insurance costs just went up!

LOL. You guys have seen the show, right? I'm a little surprised this doesn't happen more often.

I'd love to know what they were using though. Hopefully we will see the episode. :D

I like when he says "This is the worst thing that could have ever happened." No one got hurt.. so how is a few holes in walls worse than someone getting hurt?

That show has money to pay for repairs. The only thing that is going to hurt them about this incident is the bad publicity.. perhaps they are saying that if someone HAD gotten hurt they could have spun the situation better.

Damn I have to get my hands on some of that gunpowder they used!! Seriously though I'd love to see what they were attempting & what went wrong (or right?)

yea, this seemed to make big news, especially here in the bay area!

I dont want to see the cannon shot, I wanna see th look on thier faces when "faliure is allways an option" becomes reality.

2 miles??? wtf. I call complete bullshit! That would have had to have been a F$#@load of power to fire something that big and heavy that far, the bomb range staff simply wouldn't have allowed it ...

Have the Mythbusters actually admitted it was their fault?

The myth was that stone cannonballs can fell a stone castle wall. My guess is they ramped up the powder charge when they found the stone balls just were not doing the job adding to the acceleration portion of F=ma to increase the force and missed the wall.

I'm surprised the bomb range would have let them fire it with that much powder, I spose they were assuming it'd hit the wall ...
