That $2 pointer reminds me uncomfortably of the Spyder III Pro Arctic...

The way it comes with the several different diffraction heads which screw on & off and the way that the more you pay the more of those heads you get. The way that it comes packaged in a box with a slot for the laser and seperate slots for each of the heads all in one box. Heck, they even have the same life expectancy! Wicked should stock a keychain on the Arctic.

Sorry, totally off-topic. I'll shut up now.

Is anyone interested in seeing another three-colour rainbow? If so, i'll post. Otherwise it seems a bit pointless.

Six different lasers that have been called blue. From left to right:
405(PHR)
445(casio)
weak 458nm line extracted from multiline argon with diffraction grating and mirror. Also commonly available in DPSS.
473(laserwave)
488 also extracted from multiline
multiline

To me, 458 looks the purest blue, followed by 473, followed by 445. Styrofoam to help distinguish colors:

And the high tech optical table I used:

Hey, i really love ur rainbow, and in the description u talk about 5 lines and then u got 6 at the first pic.

I'm just showing this last pic because its so damn spectacular!

What i would really like would be something similar to the first pic, but with an extra mirror just sending the rest of the lines from the argon (doesnt matter the direction, for example just diagonally in relation to the other ones) so we can see the rest of the argon lines as well as the greens^^

Could u do that?? i just love ArIons and Ar-Kr...those are the most beautiful lasers IMO (multiline).

Great pics! Really loved them:drool:

Crap! I just realised I got the WLs in the wrong order... oh well. There it is anyways.

Here's one with them in the right order:

This also gives you some insight into how tidy I keep my bedroom.

Btw, is this thread limitted to lasers? If not, this is pretty cool and rainbow-y.

From left to right its:
230-250mw red (650nm) DIY labby style lpc-815, 180-200mw red (650nm)o-like waterproof, 30-40mw green (532nm)$8 ebay special, 1,000-1,200mw blue (445nm) Survivallasers $50 host+heatsink+driver, 150-180mw violet/bluray (405nm)DIY labby style sf-aw210 and finally a 30-50mw violet/bluray (405nm)$8 ebay special.

I think Ive spent roughly $250 so far, which is not bad for my collection. :gun:
