Dead module pics as promised.

Edit - I opened a ticket with FastTech about getting a replacement and all they could offer to replace it with is the 5mw module. I have asked for a refund.

Well, that looks like 050 .01 +-1% which isn't the same as the other 50mw modules I have.

Is it black, green, black, silver, brown?
I believe mine were 300ohm but don't want to pull one out of a host to check.
Blords were different. The first post looks like .33 ohms
Anyone have some they can check the resistor colors on?

OI thought you also needed the year membership? Plus SBA doesnt count. He posts like 50 posts a day. :)

Yeah what Awillis said but there's something else at 1 year if I remember correctly. Something about posting in the vet section?

Yours looks the same as Blords. Looking at the Fasttech site, the pic of the 5V module seems to have the same resistor as the 3V one.

Won't know what's up with this stuff til I get my modules and can test. Think I mentioned that I have 5 of the ones from the link above coming as well as 3 of the 5V ones, 1 of the 405 (not actually too interested in it unless I can get around 100mw out of it) and 2 more of those great little single aaa pens. Requested they sell them in black as the last pic shows one in black.

I just ordered 2 of the 2xAAA pens that Awillis metered at 56mw. The guy I was building a pen for ordered 2 as well.

You should try out the single aaa units. They are nasty little buggers for the size. If you want a smaller pen out of the ones you ordered, just cut the battery side down to fit a single 10440 (have lots like that).

That's good Awillis. The more input from all the units they sell, the better. Too bad it's so expensive for faster shipping:(
I look at their site at least a couple times a day to see if there's anything new to report.
I deliberately ordered a bunch of modules so I can mess with them and report what we are dealing with on some kind of consistent level. I've got no interest in keeping secrets from anyone here. Best policy to be as honest as possible about our findings including when we screw up by admitting when we are the cause of breaking things. The worst (at least to me) thing I've done so far is putting the batteries in wrong on a Blord build but luckily I just blew the board that had reverse polarity protection. Keep in mind though that I haven't actually built much from scratch yet or I'm sure I would have much worse stories to tell.

Just got an email that my 2 orders with all the stuff I listed a few posts up just shipped.

Now, come on...I gave up Reddit for the forums, because it's so much smarter...It's just so slow compared to the Reddit feed....must stay active...need...more...data...

If someone wants to make a poll whether I should be muzzled, by all means. I'll vote yes. :horse:
