Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groove

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

YAY!

So now it has to go to the anodizer???

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

Nice, I like how it has a wider diameter than the Kryton Smooth one.

Yep.  Off to the anodizer.

Those that want thiers unanodized will get thiers asap. Uhhh should specify that that's with no lens too.

*edit* just ran into an issue. Will elaborate soon.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

Ok let me elaborate. There are rings that were made to keep the switches in place above the rubber tailcap. We reduced the inside diameter on the grooves so that the switches fit inside a little better. However, they did not reduce the size of the rings to fit inside the reduced diameter. So, as such, they don't fit. The diamter was not reduced much however, some sanding will be required in order for these to fit inside the barrels. I am not sure what we can do to fix it at the manufacturer that i can't do here. (just take the time)

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

sorry to hear about the complications. is this something you are capable of handling within a decent time frame at your home shop?

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

home shop? I have a home shop? wow news to me. LOL no it's not somethign I can handle easily at my home shop. but it's something everyone can do as easily as I. just sand down the outside edge of the ring.

Place the ring on a sanding drum (without the sanding band)

Put the drum in a drill or Demel. Spin it against some sandpaper.

Voila! Smaller ring.

Peace,
dave

haha my bad. so does this piece need to be press fit or clearance fit?

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

Ok guess not.  it's either too big a diameter or too small.  Won't fit on the rings.
Guess I"ll have to ruin the bigger one to get the outside diameter smaller. They sit inside the endcap like so...

No big deal. I work in a metal fab shop, so I'm sure I can find something around here to resize the ring. ;)

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

SCHWEET!!  Hey kenom, I diddnt want mine anodized and i dont need a lens. How long will it take to get it into our hands without anodizing and a lens??

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

3 or 5 days if you don't want anodizing or lens. that is of course if your inside the U.S.

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov
