Kryton Grooves coming back!

I ended up severely I estimating the amount if rubber cord needed for all the orders, so I included them till I ran out. Not that it matters MCH anyways as they don't fit very well. The 1.5mm cord I was to to get falls out easily. 2mm cord would probably fit much better.

Cord? I know not of this cord, of which you speak. Do you mean the o-rings? I didn't see cord included on the list.

Back to "normal" for a little while now?

Peace,
dave

Will be settling down for a little bit, maybe do 501B heat sinks.
I need to work on getting batteries, chargers, and lens in stock. I also need to source a single element lens comparable to the G1 out of china. I'm hoping I can find one for only a few dollars and kill this obscene $25 lens....

Good on ya Matt. Some cheaper, quality lenses would be most welcomed!

What purpose do the inserts serve? Was this just to use a smaller battery?

no, they go into the groove on the barrel. Just for looks. I guess it also keeps the groove from rolling as well.

You are supposed to put the inserts in the grooves, it only enhances it aesthetically :)

EDIT: Beat me to it moh... aw well :D

Ahhh!! those inserts! I gotchya. As you ran out, is the cord you used something I can find at the hardware store until I order some GITD?

Think I have a simple way for these builds using the round mohgasm. I'll post back with video here in a couple hours.

Hey Matt what size O ring do we need for the focus ring? Also what do you use to lube the threads? I got my 2 today. They are very nice:beer:

Thanks Again for doing this:bowdown:

Not sure on the o-ring. This rom is a giant mess so I'm not sure where my calipers are.
You can buy "flashlight grease" in a lot of places. it's fairly cheap IIRC.

Those chinese flashlights usually are caked with it, if you run your fingers over the threads then smear your fingers on the kryton it would probably be enough to stop the squeaking...

My "easy" attempt at using a round driver was a failure. Ended up wasting 3 hours of my day. MUCH easier to jsut use a square driver mounted vertically.
