What he meant was probably "Not true, that would make my video pointless and people would not watch it. But since it's my video, it's true if I say it is. So that makes me have a lot of views [a.k.a. Money]".

This is good thing, actually, people will go take apart their lasers and destroy them, hence increasing Kipkay's uhh... notoriety?
Besides, anybody who things they can get a lot of power from cheap laser deserves to get it destroyed anyhow since they obviously don't know what they are doing, and possibly pose a threat to somebody.

That, and a mini note in his description - I'd certainly be happier with it if he actually said a warning out loud though (but that'd make his video longer than it needs to be, and lose a few of his attention-deficit viewers in the process )

Yea maybe we knocked some sense in his head the last time he was on here and we were trying to help him.

Who know what kipkay was actually thinking.

Iam pretty sure there is no way that you can pot mode a Green laser from 5mW and turn it into a burning laser that can light a match.

I just noticed, his goggles don't block 808nm or 1064nm in any case

(unless the mention of "+IR" on the left goggle means it's also protective against 700nm+?)

I have my doubts too, if it was that easy then what would be the point in buying the more powerful ones ??? That's like saying If I bought a 1980's Lada, tune the engine a little and it'l be as fast as a Porche

Pot modding a laser is almost definitely a bad idea except in some very limited circumstances. That's a well-known fact around here, and should be common sense to his viewers...

I give up on trying to teach them. Revision to do, and 9 hours in which to do it (before the dreaded "you may begin", that is...)

Good luck arguing with them (via PM or otherwise) - even if you make your points well, they'll still pretend that they won the argument (this actually happened twice earlier) on some unrelated point, and go on watching him cluelessly.
