^^^ The rings shown in my review of the 10X (now taken down) were due more to my not having the BE properly attached than anything else.
Also my pics were taken with the laser focused for infinity which made for a large 'dot' and I learned later I was doing it wrong- (My Bad!!)the focus can be adjusted to get a nice small dot , a very low divergance, and the ability to burn from much farther distance.

Thanks to all who helped me to better understand BEs

- I was sick and missed that day at laser school....lol
and my dog ate my textbook.

SORRY to tell you but one of our GBers has been in a car wreck- unhurt but he needs all his funds atm as the car was very badly damaged- He needs someone to take his Titanium 635 Pen laser off his hands- it is already in transit from JETLASERS and should be her in about a week- There are the finest Ti lasers inthe world- beautiful orange red- peaking about 30 mWs - takes one 14440(not incl.) for full power or by adding the extension tube you can use two AAAS but get less power. Comes with a free battery charger and very nice laser glasses in a zippered case, $155 w/ free shipping to CONUS only. Will consider canada but shipping is at your risk and cost-

Pm first to pay gets it.

The PL-C/D 400mw 635nm are unfortunately a litle delayed. here are some info from Gray:
Regarding 400mw PL-D, we didnot work out well. Since last week, we have been shipping back old diodes and receiving new diodes from the diode company but for some reasons, it didnot work out well. The 635nm 500mw diode is kinda expensive, so the tech guy who are testing the portables and have burnt a few are kinda shy from pushing it to the limits, so we have to resort to other vendors now.
Hope it will happen soon:)

Received my 635nm 400mW today - beautiful!

It LPMs at a bit over 450mW. Wide beam, as expected. Substantially brighter than my HL63133DG, but a much different beam profile.

Man, it sort of makes LOCs tough to get excited about now ;)

you got lucky rhd- Gray tells me they had a lot of problems with that diode and there may not be many sold- glad you like it-- PL-D or Pl-C??

the smart switching on the new pl_d has outsmarted me-- and no instructions either!

I 'found' high=low=and strobe but not totally sure how i did it--lol

HELP!

I went PLC. Wish I could have had PLD, but I'm glad to have avoided the silly switch. I'm not sure why they replicated that part ;)

I fully understand that as I am in the middle of trying to figure out that switch--It has three power modes low med and full blast plus strobe but I know once I figure it out I will be OK. I have a 1W 445- jakegt's 532/250 and my 635/200 all Pl-D sitting in front of me but as I am slow on the uptake in my senoir yrs even with the instructions I am not quite getting it-- one thing for sure-- nobody will be able to just pick one up and turn it on. Which I guess is the purpose of such a keyless safety set-up.

IMO a rewrite of the instructions is needed plus a video w/ sound and good close-ups. Maybe some of you WL Arctic owners can help me figure this switch out.:shhh:

But the host is awesome looking --BTW I am failrly sure that you cannot get the PL-D with the Pl-C switch-- but I may be wrong.

Hi, will there be a GB#6 anytime soon?

Not sure what you mean by any time soon and as you are in Singapore all you need to do is order from the GB price list and Gray will ship from China to you( havent we already had the discussion---De Ja Vous!!)

GB # 6 will be for sure so anyone who wants can just look at the list in the GB#5 OP and start deceiding what you want-- I am doing nothing on that until I get back from SELEM...:na:

I´m for sure going to order one of the PL-D in the next weeks / months. But want mine without the smartshit for sure
No switch ?? then I think you will get a PL-C. the whole host is set up for the super switch(aka smart switch):(

OKAY here is the deal on the GB #5 TI 635/20 pens..
They are here- they are all up to spec but NOT overspec/.
They are all exactly the same so no need to draw names for them- something I always do when I have more than one a of any laser on a GB.
SO instead of sending out three sets of Pics I will just add them to this post-- all three metered between 19 and 21 mWs with both a single 10440 AND two new aaa coppertops.. Used a Kenometer lite and an Alpha which being hobby meters are prolly only accurate within a mW or two.
all three are being sent with free glasses and case and I threw in from my stash a JETL diff grate to all three.

going out in the morning -- should be to you three Tue or sooner:beer:.

Jake gets his Pl-D 532/250 after he pays me.
I am also holding a Pl-C 635/200 ( ospec to ~ 240mWs) for aryntha.

If either one of the above declines to pay they will go up FS.
But the GB price is off the table.:yabbem:

Oic , Gray didn't reply my mail on the GB one, but he reply about other queries. On further discussions, he seems to miss out my query on GB again. I thought there might be some misunderstanding between you and Gray regarding this. I will email Gray again.

SUCCESS AT LAST

If the WL smart switch is anything like the JELASERS SuperSwitch I can now see why it caused soe headaches- BUT once you learn the steps it is almost cave man easy.
This tut will have pics later but for now just simp;e ez to follow text- GL to anyone who steals a PL-D as they have no or little change figureing it out alone==
*>(*U*)<*******************

This is not a review-
one will follow by the eventual owners or by myself-(or both)

These metering shots were take without the luxury of a lot of time as I just now
figured out the JETLASER SuperSwitch only a short while a ago. And it is very late.
But there roughly show the three power levels of the new JETLASERS PL-D in
635/200mW
the 532/250 mW
and the 445/1W
the shots are self explanitory.
low- medium and full power.
most were made with a Kenometer Lite and one with an Alpha.
I feel the need to start a whole new thread on the switch- which after you read it, you may see why- it does take a few tries to understand but if you follow my text with PL-D in hand it will all become clear-- the JETL manual will be re-written and new SuperSwitch vid will be madfe for YouTube asap.

the pics:

I saw a max peak of 1111mWs for the highest powwer level on the PL-D 445/1W.
The meter dropped back down to 1097mWs by the time I took the shot.
detailed review and host shots will follow -- but ATM my plate is overflowing.
