I'm definitely interested in the 635nm 200-300mW PL-C but I can't commit until later in July, probably toward the end of the month (Next weekend is going go be great, but super expensive:p). So you might want to move me over to GB#6.

If you are not ready when #5 closes we will take care of you in #6.
The recent interest in JETL 635nm PL-C has been noticed by Gray and he is working on the answers to the many questions on them.

Things are apparently going well for JETL as this week they are moving into new offices- so for today all Gray could say we already knew- they use a C mount diode in both Pl-C 635s. As we have no one here that has seen one- Gray is quickshipping one to me and I will test and meter ASAP. He will get us a data sheet or equivalent on the diodes soon.
He is already looking into the new .5W 635nm diodes.


If we generate enough interest Gray MAY even be able to get us a small additional discount on the current PL-C 635s. Also he is sending a new 10x BE as well.

ATM no word on the new hosts yet. Anyone shipping to JETL needs to contact Gray for the new address there.

I am going to tidy up the OP of this thread so please- if I have an errors or have left some one out PM me.thnx

JETL afaik does not have those diodes to work with ...yet.


I hope to have a 200/635 PL-C in hand next week and will post a pic heavy review and LPM tests with all my LPMs.(got the LB1 fixed--finally_)

Can you please add me to the list? I am considering the following: a 635nm 20mW Ti pen, a 532nm 250mW Ti pen, and depending on Hak's review of the 10X B.E. maybe that too.

Done ^^^ thnx Andrew also added Josh to the list.
He also wants one of the lockable hard cases(made for 32 dvds) from Fry's.
I will be going there to get Josh one and a few for me. Anyone wanting thier laser shipped from me with this case-- plz let me know asap.

I hear the lock is nothing to brag about but the hard case withstood standing on by one 150# buyer. You neeed to do a mod to the inside when you get it. I'm thinking of lining mine in matching silky material.

Purple for my 405PL-C -Red for my (soon-to-be mine)Pl-C 635/300 etc.

PM me about the cases. hak

if by 'hosts' you mean sans laser-- I kinda doubt JETL would sell them- (But I will ask)it often seems by Grays PMs that they usually have orders waiting for finished ones. Whoever there in China that does the machining of those Tis prolly makes them for one client only--JETL.

on the new hosts..........

I know as little as you on the PL-D and PL-G- lasers. They well know many are wanting to see them but we have to give them time to test. It was bad for all in GB#4 when most of the 405 PL-C 800mW had poor focusing and some were underspec.

All was taken care of and done quickly but people had to wait and the issues surely cost JETL.shipping even just one Pl-C both ways is nearly 100$for Express--send cheaper and they have sometimes gotten lost or damaged/opened.

Parts 'lost', one laser partially taken apart, one small box never arrived-- etc. This all happened on returns sent from me.

One of the other reasons I hate doing returns. Some of us chipped(Xmas) in and went sent an Alpha to Gray- as he did not OWN one- i.e. not he could use at home or anywhere he wanted to meter.. So I know he will meter every one before sending. Its all his fault-- he and JETL have spoiled us!!! lol J/K--

when I learn more I will post asap.

What could you see as a last day to pay date, and a date of when we will have these in our hands?

Fry's is the best store ever. Whenever I go I spend hours there just looking at everything haha

I just found out I will have a very large vet bill... I don't think I'll be able to afford to be in on this GB.

Can anyone let me know how the PL-Cs are focused to infinity. By this I mean does the head need to be twisted all the way left (for example) to get it focused to infinity? Or is it like most the the customs made 445s where the focus to inifinity is in the middle somewhere?

Hopefully I make sense.
