nah.. I not holding out Jordan with the info..when I hear solid news I post it. no need to ask Gray.. Full testing needs to be done lest we have another bad situation like the 800mW 405s. I do have two photos but the final product will not look the same as far as the finish goes. You have posted one and I will get the other now..

Here a shot of the PL-E in the silver grey color- They were not too happy with this version. So it may be offered only in black. No other news- When I hear something it will be posted(dont worry Jordan I wont hold out..:tsk:.lol

AFAIK the same as the ProPL-D 250mw to 500mW(Sometimes they will make a 600mW by request)

Upgrade me to a 500mw PL-E code switch with the 5x BE

Also I requested one of the grey colored hosts and Gray said they have a few that they didn't send back to be refinished and it would be no problem making a PL-E in the grey host for me.

If anyone else wants a grey PL-E we should figure out how many and see if Gray can get them made.

I like the grey color and it would be a very unique laser.

@ARG- you can request higher power from Gray-(need his email addy ?) We did have a higher rate of issues w/600mW in the past(except fpr Regina's) but those were 600mW PL-Cs without TeslaCool (PL-D) of TEC/Fan PL-E.. happy to help you out.

I do have a question... how does the focusing mechanism work, and what's going on with the adjustable divergance and beam diameter?

here is some unedited info from JETLASERS--- the parts in {} are JL.. the BOLD are mine added today...
Gray-- question asked about the new Pl-E--
1) will it be prefocused or can that be adjusted like the Pl-Cs?
{PL-E uses the internal focusing and the laser length will not increased in focusing or defocusing.}That should be very interesting to see how this is done

2) ac and dc still- so it comes wirth an AC adaptor AND has a place to plug it in??
{Yes, it is with AC adapter and a place to plug in in the opposite side of the code switch. See the pic attached.}
WOW maybe I will run one nonstop to see how long the battery lasts

3) will the adaptor for BE be done in time for this GB? -I suggest that only the PL-E buyers get this adaptor- and some may want BEs but are not buying any JETL laser... how many adaptors will they get with no laser purchase?? three? four?

{PL-E is no problem for making 600mw+, not for PL-D Teslacool which is only good for
longer run time but not high stability output, you know.
For 700mw or 700mw+ 532nm, we wanna sell when they are readily tested and stocked to ship, otherwise it might keep people waiting. You know not all can output that high power and to not risk, it might be wise to keep it lower and stabler.}
By all means, your tests should come before feeling like someones needs/wants should be accomidated-best way to keep all happy

here ya go Andrew-- it was posted on page 3-- I will add it to the OP as well..

good chance for you to get beam Expander for your friends who go in on the last GB--3 free adaptor provided (may a fourth if the machininmg is done for adapting this new PL-E. Presently it comes w/ adaptor for Pl-C, Ti pens and the new Pl-D(threaded adaptor--- should work much better) you will need to unscrew the crown to use the BE on the Pl-D and prolly on the new Pl-E also.
