Re: Jetlasers GB #7 is NOW ongoing- LQQK
Here is the lasest update from JetL...
Hello Len,
How are you doing this weekend?
I finally shipped a PL-E but in 445nm and i didnot wait for 532nm since it's slower. The internal focusing is not bad. Hope you like it.
I also shipped a PL-D PRO 635nm and the diode is no good for good beam profile. it is around 300mw i guess.................
i just intended to show you how pl-d pro looks like and how it works. A long hold(>3s) turns it on and there is no 50% or 30% option. A short click will cycle it between CW and pulse. And A long hold will turn it off - there is no standoff mode like in PL-D.
The 445nm beam is not that good enough and the blemishes was caused by the reflections of the beam upon the inner head parts which is also in silver.
Now this issue is resolved when we now begin to treat the inner parts into black color, so no worries. This is just a sample. We didnot push it that high and it was 1.5w without the focusing lens and now it is around 1.2w or 1.3w, i guess.
I just posted a reply to the GB thread you started and mentioned that we removed 500mw from PL-D Pro from 532nm PL-D pro options but added lower power levels like 150mw, 200mw and 250mw into the group.
150mw: 150$
200mw: 190$
250mw: 240$
The 445nm is okay with 2x16340 or 2x18650 or 2x26650 and sure for the former two types, the case reducers are necessary. You can try to insert the case reducer into the battery compartment, one side is more fit. You will see when you use it. The button top 18650 or 26650 is the right type for 445nm or 405nm which requires a voltage of 8v. Both flat and button top 18650/26650 fits the 532nm or other wavelengths which takes a single 18650 or 26650. I can ship u some 26650s next time.
We did not add either tec or fan into this GB#7 445nm PL-E coz we tested them without these forced cooling and they work well when they are left on continuously. For new GB (#8), we might release fan cooled 445nm. Hope they dont mind.
To ship the 445nm with decent but not attractive power levels, we now keep them in two options:
1.2w-1.3w focusable: 250$
1.5w collimated beam with fixed focus: 260$
I attached the updated pricelist in excel version and hope you can open it.
For 532nms, so sorry that it caused too much delay in updating to the lpm there.
Now 500mw is no problem and the tec or fan thing is not the main problem while the LD, the crystal, and the cavity length. As i mentioned, we returned the 20pcs of 2.5w diodes to shanghai nlight office coz they are at 805nm or so and no good as pumping source. They might have disposed of the stocked 2.5w to the Chinese manufacturers before they discontinue them for Chinese from July 1st this year. So this week we've been testing the lasers with the 2.5w ld made by this company: LD808nm??-??????????????? and the price is more than half cheaper. We did use their 5w 808nm ld for the 1.3w green laser module but their 2.5w proved to be only good for 200mw, 300mw or 400mw for portable. Probably under the pressure of the manager, our tech have been wanting to save the cost by enhancing the efficiency using these alternatives of nlight 2.5w and now it failured all expectations so far though we can also blame the crystal and structure but you know ld is the pumping source and matters a lot. So we quited the abovementioned laser diode and wait for the 2.5w.
We did lengthen the cavity to reduce the divergence but the efficiency lowers a bit now we tried to shorten the cavity and the power rises a bit again but it still has to wait for the right diode and crystal.
Talk more later and take care, Len!
Yours,
Gray

unfortunitly parts of the PDF JetL sent is still in chinese- and instead of 532nm the box to the left is green- thats fine but for the IR laser he has a pinkish color etc and that has me quite confused.
I will either try later to attach the PDF or at least translate the most important parts since so far no one in any GB has wanted an IR Jetlaser.. anyway.
Pics of Pro PL-E and PL-D will go up by Thursday..
SO ATM no 500/600 or 700 mW 532s-- if I read that correctly..
BRB w/ more info... hk
