I'm also interested in this meter :) it was tested for IR at 980 nm?
 
It has not been tested with 980nm specifically yet, but as with any thermal based meter it should be able to handle it just fine.

You are starting to scare me... If you state 300nm to 1000nm and
it is only a guess... Coulda... Shoulda... doesn't cut it...

Just a heads-up....
You will need to do actual testing at a range of wavelengths and
range of powers of those wavelengths to see if your coating/TEC
combination in linear at all wavelengths and powers in your stated
specs...

Don't get me wrong... I want you guys to succeed... there is room
for a low cost LPM...

The spectral response of the sensor is quite good, however I don't have every nm under the sun to test it with. Based on my range of tested wavelengths I will guarantee it to work within the ranges stated. If you find your sensor to not work properly within the spectrum listed you can return your meter for a full refund including shipping.

Tested Wavelengths:
355nm
405nm
445nm
454.6 nm
465.8 nm
473nm
488nm
496.5 nm
514.5nm
532nm
632nm
650nm
835nm
 
You don't need to test every wavelength but at least
the extreme ends of your stated specs and a few in the
middle...
If you see discrepancies then you need to test more...

Wow great offer here. Yes my nospin LPM is better (hopefully :) ) but for the $200 price difference to the radiant alpha I would get a nice laser.
 
Thick and thin of it its undoubtedly not going to be as good as the jerrys lasrbee or nospin's meter , but it sould be good enough for the hobbyist.
 
Yes all, we added more stock to the site but sold out really quickly. We are working hard to create more Alpha LPMs. A post in this thread will be made when there is more stock available :)
