Heruursciences diode grab bag thread

I'm still waiting for mine ; (

I hope I can get atleast one red, and others mostly 808nm xD <dreaming>
 





Uhm, i sent him money 06-16-2009, and still no news, but i know that for me, get packages from outside country is a pain in fact of waiting time (still waiting for pocket scope from seeedstudio, too :p ..... and received material from modwerx in only 18 days, and i mean, really only 18, usually from there they take 25 days)

i think i let him some other days of time, anyway ..... maybe just have problems ?
 
Seen a PM from Heruur saying my items was shipped yesterday :) ..... now let me see how much time my custom office and postal service take for give them to me :p

Where are you from exactly? I'm from Poland and waiting now exactly 9 days (including 2 sundays), still nothing.

As my data say, i'm lost in the mess of EU ..... Italy :p

just for give you an idea ..... items from modwerx, 18 days, and is a record, usually are 22 ..... from o-like, 25 days ..... from seeedstudio, they delivered it today to deposit, but i can get it just tomorrow, so 31 days ..... and so on :P

And, always just as example, items from o-like took 6 days or so, for all the travel (from tracking), the rest is time that my item passed in custom office and deposit :mad: :gun: :yabbmad: , and NOT delay from Susie store.

..... and still waiting any notice from aixiz modules i buyed 06/06 ..... and so on.

We're used to those delays, when we buy off country ..... but, damn, with all the taxes we pay, custom offices can also wake up a bit and speed up the things, right ? :p
 
Thats right xD I though just, that as a letter, it should go faster than package (I've got one package in exactly 7 days xd)

You can use a 10 ohm variable resistor with a 1/2 ohm resistor in series with a 4.5V power pack ran through an amp meter for testing most of these.

The reason not to use a socket for long term use is that a socket can loose connectivity momentarily and the safety capacitor can charge up then reconnect blowing your diode up. This was a big problem with the coherent VERDI series lasers.

I have said this many times when using a CC driver. I add a 2 mA dummy load resistor across the driver to give it something to maintain regulation. It keeps those nasty spikes down.

anyone purchased any 1watt 635nm 9mm diode from heruursciences

im struggling to get any information from him regarding these diodes, which concerns me slightly
 
Got my 3 bags right today ..... still had no time for check them, anyway ..... probably next weekend i have some more time.

There was some more diodes than 75, anyway ..... 77 closed cans, and 4 open cans, but i can't count the open cans, cause the way my delivery system manage our packages in transit, here, they arrived completely mangled (this one was the more integer one, figure you the others :p) ..... anyway, that is NOT Heruur guilty :)

The real miracle, is that the custom office gave me them in just 12 days, instead the usual 25 /30 ones, LOL.

heruursciences is a time waster.

e-mailed him enquiring about some 1watt 635nm diodes. got an e-mail back with a price, i then e-mailed asking for some info.spec on the diodes. got an e-mail backing saying yes he had some info but no proper data sheet

since sent 5 e-mails asking for that info and not had a single reply.

how does someone know the spec of a diode without a data sheet? probably why he aint replying
 
Perhaps he test them himself?

His prices are great, but I will admit that getting information out of him is like pulling teeth...
 
so if he tested them himself then he wont know the actual power and they might be 1watt diodes!!
