How many girls get excited about lasers like us guys? Are there any dedicated girl laserists here?
Just wondering cause no matter how hard I try the most I can get my fiance to do is hold an aixiz module while I solder the leads...

There are many women laserists registered in LPF.

Most of them hide behind their user names and avatars

Most of them are reluctant to post that they are female.

The moment one of them posts their gender, the hordes descend and perv all over her

Yes, i know what you mean although I respect anyone elses rights like I respect my own.
 
Y'all have been on the interwebz long enough to know what I am talking about.

"Titz or GTFO" is MUCH more prevalent than quiet, unmentioned respect and acceptance

Even "You're pretty smart for a girl" is NOT OK to them

I respect women more than men in a way, partly to do with the fact that they are very sensitive

No seriously, I can understand why girls would be reluctant to post their gender, given my aforementioned responce. Internet just misses a 'real-contact' barrier, causing people to spout out their first reactions.

Most girls wont come to the surface. As when they do we demand proof then once we get proof we go crazy.

I have no doubt that there are some.
They just dont want all the problems.

i got to say besides my scanners my fiance does not like my lasers.
When she heard how many grand i have invested into these things she almost killed me.
(over 4,000$, some of it went to machines to make things)
I have spent more in lasers than her whole car is worth.
(its a 92 ford probe)
