Hopefully he doesn't get his hands on any 589nm diodes or there is a high chance we are all going to go completely broke...

Just bought one too! I went with it already pressed in a module because I do not want to screw it up somehow lol
 
Same here. :) I am unsure as to what I want to put it in, but I am sure I can find something! Lol
 
I wonder if that diode is just one of those flops... at least I can keep my hopes up right? XD

XD Indeed, one can always hope. It would be nice to see one of these churn out upwards of 80mW or more, but if they all seem to sit pretty at ~50mW, I'm sure that most of us can live with that for a direct-diode green. ^_^
 
Yeah, I definitely won't be disappointed if they perform to spec. Even if I only got a little jump up to 60mW or so that would be great. I also don't want to let mine sit too close to the current where output starts decreasing either.

Paid. Maybe I'll post more pictures of mine to mess with you guys (too bad I paid so much for mine... at least I'm one of the first :D)

Quick note to you ARG, Paypal has flagged your account as high risk and wouldn't let me transfer directly from the bank, only through a card. I'm sure that's because of all these gift payments you have received. I recommend that you don't send Will the payment as a gift like he asks, just pay the extra fee yourself. I'm afraid that if you send a large gift payment you might get your account locked up.

Probably be best to go through DTR now so you don't have to worry about the gift payment.
