Haha, rest assured there will be videos, and probably highspeed spark videos too.

Also, if it's done in any reasonable amount of time, I'll cut you guys some LPF keychains or something on the laser cutter once it's operational ;)

Hey guys, new update... I finally heard back from the company and they are willing to cut us a deal. They are willing to ship directly to Australia but only in one shipment... meaning as long as we do the GB Aussies can get their caps.

I sent my address details over to them for a shipping quote... so hopefully in the next few days I can start collecting payment by everyone.

Hey guys, I just got a shipping quote for 35 of the caps.

Shipping is $337.30 with insurance, so we are looking at ~$7 extra per cap.

I need definite numbers now... so if you are sure you want the caps, please PM me for PP details.

As for shipping within Australia, We are looking at ~$15 for about 5 caps, obviously prices will depend on how many you have bought.

That IS a Holy $#!% Ultra-PSU... except it's not a high enough voltage D: I suppose it could be double and then bucked down to 2.5V? Or what? Because it wouldn't charge these bad boys fast fully!

An interesting thing to note is that, when shorting the leads on these things to get some epic sparks, you really get a visceral feel of the magnetism generated in a conductor through which current is flowing... the 4AWG wire I am using for leads literally sucked up my huge neodymium magnet when I shorted them :P
