Are these big enough?

I'm 15 mins in at the moment and I can see what you mean by not charging evenly... the caps closer to the negative side are slightly more charged then the ones near the positive side. Only about 0.15V difference... Other than charging individually or buying the couplers like you have is there anyway to fix this?

Done!! At 20mins 40second mark I stopped it once the current hit 1A. Time to test them out!!!

Oh good he exploded his house into a billion pieces and can't get online to post his results =P So this is what you got up to after I left. Wish i could have seen them in person =D

Mmmmmmm awesome burning! Now that you have that set up, what else are you going to do =P

good stuff!

i got 50mm2 cable to a welding gun with electrode hooked up to my bank atm :)

looking forward to the welding attempt your doing!

Ok guys, im certainly going to have my adj. PSU completed within 3 weeks time but something occured to me.

Capacitors have close to no resistance so im guessing my psu will just assume its a short and stop charging it. So, for that I will need a resistor.

Im guessing a wirewound @ 0.5-1 ohm's @ 10 watts would do the trick if hooked up in parallel. Would anyone mind verifying that?

Woops, typo, I knew that :D

In too tired for thinking about electronics. Busy day and I only had a few hours of sleep :/

I would need it to be connected to both terminals, not one (like an LED)

Thanks for the explanation madmaco :)

I've been talking with Fiddy and i've decided on a 1 ohm + 2.2ohm to give me around 3.9amps to the cap ;)

That would give me around 1.200mV/s
