Re: GB#1st of PL-E Pro Lasers and PL-E 2.0/3.0 Clearance - May 2013
BUMP
OK
some have asked if the prices at our GB are REALLY any lower.
here is what you pay (laser only) retail(rounded off)

150 mW $200
300 $290
400 $390
500 $490
600 $590
700 not offered ATM but if it were expect a price of $690

Pl-E 445
1W----$200
1.5 W not listed
***********
PL-E Pro 445
1W---------$240
1.2W..... $270
go here to see all the Pro line retail prices-
New series of PL-E lasers, PL-E Pro series. New features added. - Jetlasers.org, Official Sale site for Jetlasers laser products.
then compare with those at our GB thread--
The discount % is lower on some that are now offered as closeout-
Those that purchased them earlier paid MORE.
If you want to get direct ship from JL (~$30 dhl express) you should consider getting accessories at the same time to save on shipping.
The laser stands are very nice and a must have item if you take night pics of your lasers, if you do LPM testing, or just want to make the laser secure w/o needed to hold it.
OK-sorry-- the clamp style are not currently in stock according to JL .org
BUT for Pro buyers there is a nice $? tripod And the pro line have a 1/4" tripod hole for use of most any tripod- these are somewhat bigger than the clamp kind so the shipping MAY be higher if included- AND if you shop around tri-pods can be found very cheap used- on feeBay or at a thrift shop. I would NOT however trust a tiny cheap tripod for my Pro JL Laser--
Wallwarts are only 12$ be sure you confirm that your laser has a jack for one and that the laser is made to handle the extra voltage.(8vdc)
NOTE one member asked if the ac/dc converter makes his handheld JL into a Lab Laser ??
the answer is NO!!
lab lasers often have active cooling and a much better/larger Heatsink.
I highly suggest that you NEVER test how long your laser can run before fail- DUH!!
personally I never push the limits and cannot see any reason to run an expensive handheld laser for a long periods-doing this may not kill your laser but it MAY shorten its lifespan- and you REALLY don't want that..
hope this info helps
for Li-Ion batteries or NiteCore i2 smart chargers just contact me directly- no batts are currently offered direct from JL--if you order there I will still be the one sending them to you (CONUS & Canada)
and OF COURSE only a fool would want batteries sent WITH a laser IF the package is crossing ANY borders- I have purchased lasers from China that come with 'free' battery(s) I ALWAYS request/insist NO batts please- they are sure to be (often) very cheap batts & if they cause your shipment to get seized--??
you will regret trying to get batteries this way--
can you imagine some laser-ignorant customs person using/playing with your laser?? will they now about rest cycles ? will they take care where the laser is pointed? will the put the battery in backwards? (N/P with JLs all are rev.pol. protected)
one other bit of info USPS regs. currently bans shipping of Li-ion batteries UNLESS they are shipped inside the 'intended device'
When the shipping starts out as EMS once it gets to the USA it becomes a USPS item- so while your laser(s) alone would have made it- the battery in the package NOT inside a laser can be a BIG problem- and YES I know very few worry about these regs. thousands on Li-Ions/Lithiums get mailed every week- but if YOUR gets seized that fact will be meaningless--
HOPE this post will answer a few Qs.
