Game: Guess the mystery object !

That "thing" is an old pump up blow torch. The little pan gets the gas generator hot before ignition.

Almost.... but not exactly.:na:
It's a bit misleading because there is a part missing, but I'll accept your answer.

@HIMNL9 some kind of source for isotope ?

Here's a quick one..............

No, mine is not a lamp nor an isotope source, nor a geiger tube ..... yes, it's a sensor, but you need to guess what type of sensor, or the name (or how it work, if you prefer) ..... and no, not a phosphor disc, inside, also if UV are involved in it

A help ? ..... it "see" something :p

@millirad: some sort of vacuum pump for "dust-clean" machines ? (i think are called "white chambers" in English, those zones or machines where there is no dust for work with chips)

Demonex is the winner! Ding! Ding! It's a turbomolecular high vacuum pump. You were right HIMNL9, when you said vacuum pump. :) It's use is to go from ~100 millitorr pressure and reach extremely high vacuum states. These are used sometimes with reactors/chambers that process wafers.

@ himnl9 it's not a part, it's the whole thing it's self.

@ ped sorry tiny pic is the only way I know how, if you instruct me I will do it another way.

Another help about mine: it "see" only uv, but it "look" for something more visible than just UV, and that you never usually associate to UV :p :D
