Full lunar eclipse in a few hours!!

Got a laser shot alone earlier in my Polaris review, but, also got some moon shots. Unfortunately none together, because of the near infinity focus and varying timing..

Unfortunately I didn't get as much of the sequence as I would have liked, because clouds kept passing over sometimes for 5-10 minutes at a time; so I could only take opportunities to take shots when the clouds were clear.

Anyways:

I was driving home from the gf's around 1 am here and just happened to see it o.O

Nah. It was just kind of a burnt umber. Maybe a sienna. It didn't even have its blue and green sliders pulled down more than 3/4 of the way.

Though I'll put money on some cult, somewhere, offling themselves in a cabin in the woods thinking the end of the world was coming tonight.

And yeah, it was cold here; 25'F... Camera battery didn't like it; I liked it less.

i tried to take some but it was -28f and it froze my camera and my hot chocolate :(

Nice photo's Aryntha. I couldn't see the moon today. Heavy overcast and fog.
Anyway my picture of lunar eclips 2007.

I was all set to image the eclipse but was clouded out. The next total lunar eclipse visible for North America will occur on the night of April 14-15, 2014. Nice shots Blord and aryntha!

^^ hey, Blord, you photographed also my spaceship prototype during the tests (the little dot on the right) .....

(J/K :p :D)

Anyway, nice pics, both of you ..... it was totally cloudy here, at that moment .....

thanks to all who posted in my thread...

very nice stuff arythna and blord.

the ones I did will not be posted they are an embarrassment.

should hve broken out the nikon F- the 200 and a tripod- not the coolpix.

Don't feel embarrassed. You will learn everytime from astrophotography. The skills will improved after each attempt. The lunar eclipses will return.

Like my lunar eclips of 2003, that was not so good. I missed the timings completely. I was noob then ( still is  )

As I mentioned before I was clouded out last night and missed the eclipse, but here is my first attempt at imaging the moon with my new Canon T2i my wife bought me for Christmas. The moon is less than 24 hours past full.
