Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

Which lens is best for 520nm? Any idea?
Best means best collimation for me

G7 or 3-element lens, especially the G7 lens, it works well with other wavelengths as well. G7 is a high pass lens with low divergence beam profile alike to 3-element lens.

@murrat;

The g2 will give you more power. The 3element will give you a tighter beam but less powerful. The g7 is kinda a split between the two. I have couple of Sanwu 520's and I like the g7. (But that was just my call). :)

Ps, I think Sanwu, on their website recommends the g7.

Do you have them all? If you do, can you make a comparison shot?

I have 465nm with G7 lens but I don't know if it will be same for 520nm.

If you say so it is fine. I have to add G7 lens for 520nm :thanks:

Compared to a G2, the longer focal length of most 3 element lenses produces a lower divergence but also a fatter beam, the FL making the difference. What is the FL of the G7? Similar or the same as a so called G2? To me, G2 just means single element aspherical, G7 too, just slightly different, correct?

I'm away from the house at the moment. So the compairsion shots will have to wait. I'll try next time I hit the house, but time is usually the problem. But I see what I can do. :)

No problem I have some time before I buy a 520nm guardian :D

Is it only focal length or also coating on it?

Added the 7W 445nm option to silver series as many requested:wave:

We got four sharp 495nm laser diodes in which will be built into guardian and pocket housing, handheld reviews coming soon!

Fill me in for a pocket 495nm!

If they're actually 495nm count me in too!

I have a feeling there going to be 488 just like the one I bought! Do you have a spectrometer to test them Podo!

Yup that's why I'm asking. I'll wait for the main 488nm bunch of these are 488nm, but if they're 495 I'm not showing the forum mercy and putting it in my collection asap :eg:

How much for 495nm Pocket?

They just arrived today. We are not so sure their specific wavelengths without a spectrometer but it should be easy to tell from a 488nm to 495nm.
