Yes but the owner must provide the order number for us to follow.

Ok, thanks and; thanks for such a swift response. :)

Did I read somewhere that your driver will reduce power if the laser becomes too hot?

The power adjustment range by the heat protection mechanism is less than 20% of the laser output rating.

If you run the laser with our recommended duty cycle, the reduction should be less than 5% which is barely noticeable.

Hello again; got another question for you.

On your 4 watt Challenger 2 470nm, what diode do you have in there? :thanks:

Hi Podo, any new from Sanwu and the 470-480 and 505nm diodes?

Hey, do you have any discount code going on or coming up? If you have a decent code I may be ready now. If not I will need to wait a bit.

I am looking at getting:

Lightsaber style - Spiker series
520nm - 1W
G7 Lens
Beam Expander

Lightsaber attachment

2x Laser tripod

Hi Podo, any new from Sanwu and the 470-480 and 505nm diodes?

We cannot find the supply for both diodes yet but we offer custom build if the buyer can provide and send us the 480/505 diodes.

I wanted to make sure I order the correct batteries for the Spiker Lightsaber version. I see it takes 2x 18650. Is it able to use protected batteries or does it need shorter batteries like the flattops? Below are the two I was looking at: I am hoping I can use the protected to get more mAH.

AW IMR 18650 3.7v 3000mAh Flat Top
Dimensions : (18.30 mm x 65.00 mm) (+/- 0.20 mm)

AW Protected 18650 3400 mAh - RTD vapor
Dimensions :18.50 X 68.16mm ( +/- 0.3mm )

I use magnets to reach the contacts. Two 18350 fit just fine without any modification.

Hum, interesting to know. But those are a lot smaller and less mAH. The run time would be quite a bit shorter with 18350's. I was looking for a longer run time.

I had the spiker saber once and flat tops didn't seem to work all to well with it. I used 18650s with the little nipple on top. The new design is slightly longer than the one I had before, but you should be able to easily fit in the batteries. Sanwu has exellent precision in the making of their lasers.

Pm Podo for more info:)

Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

People have asked me how to set up the 3X Beam Expander with a 3 element lens on the mighty NUBM44 diode.

The best burning spot I get is by setting the focus of the 3 element after you screw it into the little adaptor to about a half square, not a sharp line at about 15-20 feet and that will also become a square shaped spot at 80-100 feet, because the BE works on both axis you don't want to focus your 3 element to the sharp line or your spot will look like a line with a shaded box under it.

NOW if you get a NUBM05,06,07,08 that the GBall makes a half square box anywhere in the 10-20 foot range just use a 3 element lens barrel with the lenses and spacer removed, simply unscrew the ring from the back and dump everything out and use that to screw into the little adaptor and simply use a spacer or washers so that it screws into your 12mm diode module without crushing the GBall, this works well as the GBall is very efficient and makes a strong burner.

Screw the empty 3 element barrel into the adaptor so that the wide end faces out, it will countersink around the GBall giving you more threads but still use a couple of washers so you don't crush the GBall. You can see in the pic ( NUBM44 build ) I used a cutout paper washer made of black construction paper to get a good half square focus, it's a minor adjustment to get it right but well worth it. Note the paper is just 1 piece thick, I simply did not clean off the bits of extra that stick to my washers.

This is by far the best way I have found to use the Gball diodes with lens intact, of course some factory focus settings are better than others, but with the can window diodes such as the 44 stop at a tight line at 15-20 feet then back out a fraction of a turn to get a half square, it makes the hottest burning spot in my testing and makes focusing to a clean bar easier once the expander is installed, they are fantastic.

This is a nubm06 lighting a damp paper bag with cardboard inside using the factory GBall and a sanwu 3X.
