FS: Kenometer Laser power meter *CLOSED*

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

I've had to wait up to 2 months to deliver a few Kenometers waiting on parts and lull times in my life to assemble them.  It bugs me though as I try to put my customers first and it means sometimes me not meeting a deadline on an assignment.

I mean it bugs me enough that it takes sometimes up to 2-3 weeks to assemble when things go right. I just don't have the money though to buy the parts and keep them here for assembly when someone wants one.

Oh man this totally bites....

Ok again as with OP #1 these are still for sale. Specs of the Kenometer are on Page 1 and asking price is $250

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Any idea when mine will be next on the list? Just watch your fingers!
Thanks, my need for one is growing day by day.

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

its finished just waiting for the funds to ship it. Not having a job sucks. Specially when you've got a 3yr old who goes through diapers like they are tissue paper.

That's something else, amazing you still get work done. I'll PM you on shipping.

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

OK I tried letting everyone know what their tracking #'s are for their meters but there were a few that didn't have any info in the payment info area.  So

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Yeah, these are tough times. Though you could also use washable diapers, but that's no fun.

Kewl, it's already on this side of the Atlantic, maybe even in town, maybe even at my local post office :D

Ken, ah... the Kenometer's going to be my first LPM so please excuse the noob question, but what is the proper focusing point for burners? I don't want to burn a hole through my Coherent sensor...

My guess is @infinity seeing as this is the only possible case for fixed-focus, DPSS-based lasers...

Thx :)

That is an excellent question Traveller. You really don't need to worry much about the focus on the thermopile. I recommend that you focus it so that all the energy is focused into one spot as long as the laser is not too powerful. I've had one customer burn the coating off with a 2W laser focused. You should experiment a little bit to see how it affects the readings of your laser. I personally have not noticed any difference whatsoever on focus and it's affect on readings. You may as each sensor is different. I've also noticed a slight variation 1-5mw on the location the beam is directed onto the sensor, but you won't have a problem if you keep it smack dab in the center.

Thx for your feedback, Ken! So what would you say is the borderline, 300mW, 500mW?
