Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Glad to see you're OK, Ken. I reckon a trip to the hospital wasn't needed. :)

What's the status on my meter?

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Oh don't worry I will. Everyone has to have a taste to tide them over until their units arrive.
:D

Yes, please do - having seen some of Jay's wife's labeling work, I must say that it should really make for the finishing touch  :D

p.s. Jay, I hope those labels are pre-cut 'cause I'm not sure Ken can afford to loose another fingertip right now...  :P  ;D

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Well, I promised pictures.  I'm having quite the time getting the letters to work and have almost got one meter done.  took me 2 hours to get the letters on the meter.

And I would like to thank Jayrob for introducting me to a completely whole new level of OCD!!! GRRRRRR> :D

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Ken, I sent some new lettering today...

I'm sorry man, I'm going to blame some of this on my wife! ;D Because the cutting tip was dull. Ha Ha! No... I should have known not to send those when they weren't cut very good.

I sent a bunch extra hoping that it would still work for you.

But the ones I sent today will be much easier. We changed the tip on the cutter and they should be just fine.

Sorry about making everybody wait a couple of extra days.

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Dude, it's cool. It's given me many hours of uhhh entertainment. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D I'll see with the new one's if it's really the blade or just my inadequecy. lol

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

They should be much easier...

But anything small like that is a pain just the same. Most of the stuff we do is vehicle signage, yard signs, and signs on business front windows.

Usually nothing with this kind of really small lettering.

Very nice, clean work! Ken, you still have all nine fingertips...?  :P

Jay, is your labeling system computer-based? It would be cool to eventually add a simple logo to the Kenometer like you did with the Kryton (I think it was a snowflake). Assuming the SW can print graphics, a standard Laser symbol would be cool (for the next series of Kenometers).

I think this series is ready to go as is... *cough*hint-hint*cough*  ;)

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Are you going to trademark the name "kenometer" for your LPMs kenom? Love the name you choose. 8-)

Yes, it is like a printer, but it cuts vinyl instead. It is about 4' wide. For multi-color, you have to cut the different parts out on different colored vinyl. Those kind of signs are just a matter of the design software.

Some fancy machines can actually print on vinyl for any blend of colors. But our machine is just a cutter. But yes, it can cut any design you can draw, any logo...

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Yours is done Traveller.  It will hit the post here ASAP.

Very cool, Jay  8-) Ken, you could really have some fun with that...  ;)

I'd love to get a Kenom / Kenometer logo someday to place on mine  :D

p.s. Ken, thanks for the great news - looks like you're going to meet your own deadline, despite a change in parts availability and only nine fingertips!!!  8-)  8-)  8-)
