FS: Kenometer Laser power meter *CLOSED*

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Hey Ken... the painted Heads look good...
but I would prefer to have a Sensor Head that is Un-Painted with
minimal scratches like the one in your 3 Head photo above.... ;)

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Yeah I hear you. Obviously the choice would be to get one that doesn't have scratches or blemishes. However, since there are so many that are and everyone is requesting one's that are unblemished as much as possible, I can't give everyone what they want. I do have one customer that specifically paid me an additional fee for as unblemished a head as possible and he gets preference in this aspect. So that one really nice clean sensor is going to him. I won't mention names though as it's really nobody's business. He knows who he is. (unless he wants me to)

I will go out today and purchase some paint remover and some matte black paint, and we'll see what we can't do to get them to look as much "stock" as possible.

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Gee Ken.... I thought buying 2 Kenometers was enough to get a clean head
on the 2nd one... ::) ::) ;D

Whatever head you use to build mine............. PLEASE... no paint job..
I would like you to leave my Sensor Head just as it is... 8-)
Thanks in advance... ;)

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

lasersbee does that effect the sensor with the paint job?

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

yea i no that.... but i was asking would it affect it :-? i don't see why it would ..

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

It sohulnt affect it too much. Its only one layer of paint afterall.

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

it doesnt' affect it at all. Since the paint is not going on the sensor at all, it's cannot affect it. If it were a matter of dissapaiting heat then it might but considering the face of these heads is just a thin peice of metal, and the bulk of the heatsink is behind the head, it's not going to change anything. It's just an aesthetic thing.

Lasersbee, I will certainly ask my "source" to give me a blemishless head when he sends it to me. I of course have no clue what his stock looks like so can't promise anything, but I will ask nonetheless.

Hey dont act like jake21..     Just kidding there :D

Ken, thanks for the reply about the paint. I throught it would have a little effect on the reading but now i know it doesnt affect it at all.
250$ definetly a good price for a meter that goes up to 2Watt.

Jerry, dont you already have 8 other lpms ? I know your a lpm collector... the reading would be so messed up.. through you can have an approximative reading with them all...

Jake, as Kenom said, it doesnt affect it at all. The sensor is behind.

Traveller, Indeed those pics are fascinating.

No... the way Ken is doing it... It does not affect the Sensor Head...

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

It's all cool. I did after all ask what people thought. If I didn't want a preference, I wouldn't have asked in the thread visibly for everyone to see.

Re: FS: Kenometer $250

Well, bad news!  The 5 meters I purchased that claim to have common ground do not in actuality have the ability to share a common ground.  So, I now have to order some more.  I'll also be purchasing the isolators as well so that if I cannot find meters that work, I'll use the alternative method.

EDIT *nvm I'm a moron and figured that 20v panels would work but it sees at 10mv resolution not 1mv. So a 20mw laser shows as 2. I'm working on returning these and getting a smaller resolution or if anyone knows how to reconfigure them (just changing out a smt resistor) I could do that.
