I take it from the pictures that these drivers arent mountable? If i wanted to krazy glue the driver down, would that be fine with these?

You do need to mount it on a surface that will heatsink them with a thermal adhesive like Artic Alumina. What are you mounting it to?

Well, i wanted to mount it to a flat and thin aluminum surface.

If i wanted to make my own, do i just need the LM1117 and a 1ohm resistor to get 1.2A?
Thanks,

Matt

That should be good for mounting, i can include a strip of sekisui thermal tape if you want, but its not as good as filling all the gaps with thermal adhesive.

1 Ohm gets you 1.25A. The 10uF caps on the input an output are required for the LM1117 since it is a Low Drop Out type of regulator ... it keeps the driver stable.

I will be ordering more drivers from you in the very near future, thanks again

^ ^ Hi Extrion... Do you mind telling me what you're firing in what looks to be an unfinished room in your avatar? It appears to be some sort of laser gun, something the idea of building often wakes me in the night.
