Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

I would need to buy 1000+ to get any appreciable discount, and Im not going to float 5K worth of parts. :p

In the interest of board space and simplicity it will not have reverse polarity on any of my drivers, its easy to add by putting a diode across the LD+/LD- or the V+/V- pins. [LD-]----|Diode>|----[LD+]

jibs (or anybody else), could you show me in a "paint" diagram where to put the protection diode? I want to be sure of this before blowing a (laser) diode. Sorry if it's very basic :)

at the risk of looking stupid, i think you could just solder it in parallel with the resistors.

deleted to avoid confusions. Thanks jib for that image !!! (b) +REP

Jib can you test 2 500mA drivers with one 10440 battery, and one 18650?
I want to buy it, but it's better to know the mA's first! :)

Both yield about 80mA with a 4V load. I have to fix my test load so I cant test lower 3V and 2V loads.
