I think he is doing it right ;)

I am glad your still on bh, you have an incoming PM

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

i wonder, just out of curiosity....

Would you be able to make some lower powered drivers to like 400~500ma suitable for blu-ray diodes? im not a wiz-kid when it comes to drivers so i dont know any of the do's and dont's :p

Everyone is going crazy about those 445nm diodes but lets not forget those awesome 405nm diodes :)

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Mm. If only my attention span were bigger.

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Check odicForce, They have a 5-500mA driver. and its pretty cheep too.

I can get resistors for 445mA or 502mA, what do you guys prefer? Ill reserve a few from my next batch for this.

true, i kinda forgot odic sold those:)

if enough people are interested, if not ( im the only one ) you could forget it :p
would be nice to have a no-pot driver for the 12x's:D

o and i vote 502ma, got a 12x running at 490 and it doesnt seem to get to hot o degrade so 502ma should be nice

hey jib i went and looked for LM1117 linear regulators i found some but theyre all 800mA? how did u increase the amps?

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Ill make a few 502mA ones and see how it goes.

@xivlia ... Each manufacturer and package has its own max. I found one that has a nominal max of 1A and absolute max of 1.5A. The 800mA one is probably a SOT package which can not dissipate a lot of heat.

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

hmm oh okay, thanks for the info xD. il jsut buy drivers from you, i cant be bothered trying to make my own lol :D

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Hey jib, one question, what is the forward voltage of the 1.8A driver?

Thanks for the correction steave.

oh yeah and i was wondering. when wil you be ready to ship the drivers? any rough dates? because im going on holiday soon for a week so i know when to buy it etc.

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Hey Jib,

I would like 2 of each flavor, when they are available. I will check back occasionally to see when you have some.

Thanks in advance

Probably sometime late next week. Ill have a better time frame when I get a butt-load of PCBs sometime next week, then I have to build them.
