Had another killer night last night. Something is definitely in the air. This is usually our slowest time of the year for inpatient admissions and we've already surpassed the first two weeks of January in number of admits...in April! I'm glad I'm not on tonight with the whole blood moon thing! It's a scientific fact that ER's are more busy on full moons than they are on non full moon nights. But I diverge.....anyways, no sleep at all last night and I'm barely awake enough to write this now. I'm gonna try to go to bed now and wake up sometimes around noon and then finish packing the box. I should get it off today but there is a slight chance I could hit snooze until 5pm. Doubtful, but it's happened before. In that case it will go out Tuesday at the latest. I've put some stuff in small zip locks, enough for everyone to have one. That's not everything in the box, just a few things I wanted everyone to have that's participating. It's a small part of things. So, when you get the box I would ask that you just take one of these small ziplock bags and pass the rest down the line. If you leave one write on the list you didn't take one and that way someone else could take two if they wanted to. Not gonna say what's inside, you'll have to wait. I think most of what's in each bag will be appreciated. I hope so at least, well see.
I'm also sending some stuff for Livingloud to remove so he will have some space for his stuff as well.
Lastly, I'm putting in a nice piece of paper about 22x17", folded. My hopes are that everyone participating will autograph it, put their "mark" on it one way or another with a saying, picture, or just their signature. When I get it back I am going to copy it onto another large poster sized paper with the muted LPM logo in the background and the title "LPM Wandering box 2014" or something similar. Kinda corny I know but it should turn out pretty cool and I will mail a copy to everyone who wants one once the box returns to me in a couple months or so. I'll pick up the cost on this, all you have to do is put your "mark" somewhere on the paper (with your screen name) and put it back in the box. When it's done and ready to be mailed to everyone I will post it here and everyone wanting one can PM me with their mailing address and I will mail them out. Personally it makes participating a little more fun and rewarding I think. If you think this is too goofy then tell me. It seemed like there was interest in signing the box earlier but the box may not survive 17 posts so this is an alternative.
Any last requests for box contents, say it now! Soon to be sealed shut and mailed....
